I'm going to Vegas for 9 days in november. what is the minimum amount of money I will need while I'm there?

I am trying to see how much I will need to save for my holiday. I want enough money for each day and night to have a good time and not to miss out on fun but I also don't want to spend too much! Help!
Additional Details
I'm 26 years old and I'm not a big gambler but I will obviously be doing some gambling but I don't have a problem with it. I'm not super rich but I can afford to things like take in some shows, excursions etc. I just want a rough guide to how much to take but I'l probably take more

Here would be my break down. Be prepared to spend:
$15-30 at breakfast per person. Buffets are not cheap anymore.
$15-45 at lunch per person
$30-250 per person at dinner
Alcholic beverages are between $5 and $25 a piece depending on location. They are free if you are gambling, but the lower slots/tables are not serviced very often or at all, so plan on playing $3 minimum slots, or $10 a hand at the tables to get free drinks.

Shows run from $45 up to $500 per person.
Room Service often has a minimum charge...
Club Admission is $15-5,000 (if you get a table w/bottle service).
When we go to Vegas, we live it up... we usually loose $10,000 in the casino in 3 days...get food, room and entertainment comped. I also feel that 9 days is WAY too long to be there. If you want to budget dine, there are places like MacDonalds...but they are not always convenient. MGM Grand has a food court, as does Monte Carlo...you can always go to the food court at the Fashion Show Mall next to TI as well. Good Luck!

Well don't know how old you are or what you want to do while you are there for 9 days , but take $2,000.00, at the least.

Are you including gambling? 9 days in a long time in Vegas. Hope you have a few side trips planned.
HONEST, no one knows what you like to do. You can eat cheap a the Casinos, but what shows you want, etc.
Excluding your Hotal I would say $200 a day

HAVE FUN AND WIN IT ALL BACK

9 days is a long time to visit Vegas for a first timer. I will assume your hotel is paid for. Food and entertainment can run up to a hundred a day. Try not to gamble no more than $50 a day unless you win take a trip to the Grand Canyon or the Hoover Dam day trips will get you away from the tables for a few hours. $1350 should cover it give or take 200-300 dollars.

$1,000.00 per day including hotel. No big gambling but have a crack at megabucks every nite and a few hours of quarters and a couple at blackjack. A show every nite will keep you off the tables. It's a lot cheaper.

50-100 thousand for a cheap time much more if you gamble

It depends are you old enough to gamble and go to the clubs??? I take $1000.00 so I can gamble a bit and eat and go to clubs while I'm there. I usually break even so my trip dowsn't cost anything but the room unless I get comped. Then i don't really pay for anything. Have Fun Bet $50 on black for me! LOLL

Book a show before you leave (there are 5 versions of the Cirque Du Soleil) and take about 100.00 per day for your stay
To include tips, and misc. make it an even 1000.00 for the 9 days

Will you be gambling? That will effect the total.
Remember to set a limit and STICK TO IT!!

If you have to pay for meals, plan on at least $50 per day if you're conservative. Check with your hotel and ask what meal options they offer or if you have a small fridge and microwave oven in your room. Set aside your food and souvenier money first.

Next, decide if you want to see any shows then do a little research and find out how much you'll need for tickets. Keep in mind many can run $100 to $250 or even more depending upon the headliner.

Finally, determine how much you can afford to lose then add that to the amount above. Remember, it's unlikely you're going to "hit it big" out there so instead of looking at it like you may win something, pretend you're playing a video game or pinball machine where there is no payoff. Then follow the rule, "It's not whether you win or lose because you're probably going to lose: it's how long you get to play!"

Now, good luck!!!

I would say the general rule of thumb for someone's first visit to Vegas is $1,500. a day.
