You won't get yelled at unless its after 8pm and everyones drunk and Copley square isn't really where the bars are at. Try going near Fenway and the bars on landsdowne if that is what you want! Or Faneuil Hall after hours.

I wear red sox gear everytime I'm in New York (well unless its to go out at night). Red Sox as well as boston in general is killing new york right now (and every team) so I never get yelled at, maybe cause I'm a girl and they realize red sox girls look better than yankees ones!!

P.S. when are you going to boston, i can't wait till this weekend, get ready for an yankee asswhoopin!

oh my, I hope I see you get ur @ss beat on the news. That will make me laugh. And people wonder why new yorkers get a reputation as rude, obnoxious @ssholes. THIS is why, because of one or two people who feel the need to act that way.

So no I don't like it (and no I am not from boston, or new york and I really hate both teams equally...okay maybe the yankees are slightly more hated...but VERY slightly)

Ok we are not like that here in Boston. You will not get beat up. If you are cocky to others and you end up being a complete jerk to us here in Boston then you will get beat up by people. If you don't throw stuff in Boston fans faces then you should be ok.

If you are just doing it to be a jerk and be wicked rude about it then don't bother comming to Boston you won't be welcome here.

Why not. I'm going to NYC alone this summer, and I will definitely be wearing my Red Sox gear. I'm about 5'3, I figure hey if I get beat up, who cares, it will only be bad press for the Yankee fans. =b

Seriously though, you won't get beat up for a shirt. Definitely expect some heckling but that's about it. If you start talking smack in a bar about the home team around drunk people, when you are a guest in their city you will be looking for a fight and might find one. But that's true of anywhere you go.

Considering that Giants were a below average NFC playoff hopeful until Shockey got hurt (and hence the cancer from the locker room was removed), does mean you will be wearing his Super Bowl uniform (aka: street clothes)... :) If the Giants are smart they'll look to get whatever they can for him (even if it's just a warm 6-pack of brew like Buddy Ryan was willing to take for the fumble prone 1,000 yd rusher Earnest Graham that he inherited when he took the Eagles HC job).

(If you are looking to rub it in an Eli jersey would be better. I won't call it a fluke since the most important part of winning a title [except Div 1. college football of course] is playing your best ball at the end, which your team did & ours didn't).

So how about them Yankees & Knicks? We'd prefer to take all three major world titles here, but I guess we'll have to settle for just two of them...
