The cheapest place I've ever stayed at (when I wasn't staying with a friend, that is) was this total hole-in-the-wall motel just down the street from "the Orleans" - it was like $35.00 a night (for a weekend)...
The downside is... no casino... no luxuries of ANY sort (barely four walls, a ceiling, and a bed) ... but it was CHEAP. So you get what you pay for.
I hear Stratosphere, Excalibur, & Circus Circus are pretty inexpensive. If you're willing to drive a little more down to the Fremont district, there's probably cheaper rooms in that part of town. |

Start looking now for a cheap rate on line...lots of big Hotels along the strip have specials. Just know that if you go Fri-Sun, rooms are going to be more expensive then if you go Mon-Wed. But, I stayed at a decent hotel OFF the strip by Cesar's Palace that was half the price of any hotel ON the strip. |

Decent and cheap hotels in Vegas... Try the Stratosphere, Palace Station, Flamingo, Excalibur, TI, etc. Right now, prices are lower as it's off season (off peak) therefore you can find many great deals out there. Check out the website below. |

Depends on where you want to stay, do you want to stay near the strip, off the strip, close to the airport, away from the airport. Go to Hotels.com and I bet you can get a great rate, or even Priceline, you can try to choose how much you want to spend. There are your typical Motel6, Best Westerns, try those... |

Circus Circus is the cheapest on the strip. Other wise you gotta go off the strip and who knows what you'll find? |

I usually stay at Bally's they have large newly remodeled rooms for a resonable price. They are also located in the center of the strip. Use their website to book but click on the hotdeals button instead of the reservations button. Never use a thrid party website to book as this always costs more. |

If you don't mind kids, go to Circus Circus. Otherwise, stay at the Excaliber. |
