None. New York has some of the strictest liquor laws in the country and it costs bars more than $15,000 a year in fees to have one, and very few of them are going to jeopardize that to serve someone underage..
As someone said, why not be the designated driver - that's a good idea - SOMEONE should have a clear head so nothing bad happens to anyone in your group. |

without a fake id your best hope is canada; nowadays, in 2007, no bar is going to risk the $1000 fine plus risk of losing their license just so you can have a good time a few months early. Sorry. I know it sucks. Go to Canada. |

A lot of bars don't even ID girls especially in a group like that. Hit up 2nd avenue on the Lower East Side. Keep going to the different bars, your bound to run into one that doesn't ID. |

Experience has taught me that most non-chain, mexican or asian places won't card you as long as you don't look like you're in high school.
Just go to a sit down restaurant with a lot of friends and have someone buy you a drink or two, just don't embarrass yourself and get s**tfaced.
Drinking one or two helps in relaxing the converstation. Getting drunk just makes you look stupid. |

The key words in your question "we want" ... it should be " they are" going to the city, because that's how it's gonna be... you are not 21, what makes you think that a bar is going to let you in to drink, just cuz your friends are there......the very essence of the question is why you have to be 21 to drink.... Responsibility! |

When i was underage in NYC and hit the bar scene up, we went into a head shop and purchased identical fake IDs that actually work in most clubs. May have been in Manhattan, east end area but you would choose your DOB, state, age etc... Not sure if you can still do so but that was our ticket in and only cost $25 bucks. |

I really can't tell you which bars will let you in and which ones wont. I can tell you that as a former bartender and bouncer that when you do get into a bar it is very important that you do nothing to draw un-needed attention to yourself. You will get yourself in trouble, you will get the person who let you in in trouble and the person who served you in trouble.
Why am I telling you this? Because I think that the 21 year old drinking age is ridiculous . We can't let a minority of over zealous crazies tell the rest of us how to live .
