I'm from the state of Canada. What I dislike about this state is that no one has given us a star on the flag yet. There are still only 50. What I do like is hockey! Go Oilers! |

I live in central Kentucky. I HATE IT!!! Sure, the land is beautiful and it's very close to Lexington, Louisville, and Cincinnati. However, the cost of living here is vastly overrated given the slow rate of growth and lack of job opportunities. It's actually cheaper to live in, say, Nashville, Houston, or San Antonio than here. Furthermore, I can't stand the people in these small towns that are full of themselves, think they run the world, and will not talk to anybody outside of their clique. In Kentucky, it's not how nice and generous, or how well educated you are; it's about who you know. If you're not in the "town clique" or related to a prominent family, people will literally not even speak to you. People won't even say "thank you" when you hold a door open for them. Sure, there are nice and mean people everywhere, but the nicest people in Kentucky are the ones who are native to there.
I've done my fair share of traveling throughout the country. I even thought New Yorkers (NYC, that is) were in some ways more polite than Kentuckians. I really like Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, they all have very nice people. Florida and Indiana can be rude and crude, but aren't much different than Kentucky. Texas...now that's a cool state! Great weather, lots of job opportunities, beautiful scenery, and great people! That's where I intend to move in two years once I get my Bachelor's degree.
Dang, I went on longer than I expected. |

I am from New Jersey.
Like it because I am close to Manhattan. Can go there anytime.
Hate New Jersey because for a state like this, it is as expensive to live out here. And car insurance? Forget about it! Way too much to live here. |

Hey, neighbor, Missouri here...
Can't think of a single thing I dislike about MO, decent summers, winters, pretty falls...I guess the springs may have too much pollen...but otherwise, the Ozarks are wonderful. |

Hey neighbor I am from Tennessee. I live just 30 minutes north of memphis. I like this state because I grew up here and know everyone but hate it that most of the needy people can not get health insurance. I am sure you heard about that. |

Washington. I love that it's beautiful, rivers, mountains, beaches, rain forest. I hate that homes are rediculously expensive, and traffic is horrible. (Not to mention the cloudy weather.) |

I'm originally from California (26 years!). I loved the entertainment, great weather year round and the beaches. I disliked the traffic, smog and housing prices. I now live in Idaho. I like the natural beauty, the outdoor recreation and the lakes. I dislike the fact that there are not enough good jobs to keep up with the growth and the winter weather. |

I am from Illinois (St. Louis, Missouri area) originally.
I've lived in Normal, Illinois -- yes, that's really the name of the town -- Illinois State University is there.
I also lived in:
Killeen, Texas
Columbia, South Carolina
Jefferson City, Missouri
St. Louis, Missouri
Chicago, Illinois
Huntsville, Alabama
Peoria, Illinois
Des Moines, Iowa
I've been lucky enough to do some traveling all over the country to LA (California), Washington (DC), Alexandria-VA, Florida, Kentucky, Indianna, Ohio, Colorado ... it's a long list !
Now I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Arkansas is a beautiful state. We would visit Mountain Home, Arkansas (right in the center on the boarder near Missouri) quite frequently ... it was beautiful. Great hunting, better fishing and the camping is wonderful.
The people in Arkansas can be SO friendly !
