I am going to Disney World and am worried about the cost of Food.?

I am already getting AMAZING deals that are unheard of becuase I am visiting a really good friend who works in the parks. Im worried about the cost of food. I love to eat, lol, and like to try diffrent things, all of which look expensive. I dont mind splurging on a dinner or two but where can i get good breakfasts and lunches at a reasoniable price, that are both tasty and wont weigh me down for the rest of the day. I'm staying in the POP Hotel. Howare there food court prices, is that the best place to get breakfast. What about late night snacks? Thanks!
Additional Details
**I'd love to stay in one of the nicer hotels, dont get me wrong. But as a college student wit ha strict budget I cant. Plus the POP is only 50 bucks a night using my friends discount. Even it is cheap, it looks neat and I;ve heard lots of good things about it.

Also, since I cant buy into a package I cant buy into the dining plan. i was dispointed since I only eat 2 meals a day and a snack, which was what it covers. And by loving to eat, I don't mean I sit around and eat junk all day. I just really enjoy food, lol,(my moms a chef)

Thanks!

The prices are a bit above average for stuff, but there is a good website that has many prices listed for a lot of the food.

If you plan ahead, you can know how much money to bring.

Eh, the POP hotel is the cheapest hotel in all of Disney. That's what I hear, at least, and I'm a central FL resident who often drives by it. It would be the least of my choices, but anywho.

Any of the food at Disney is going to be ridiculously high priced. If you aren't wanting to spend a lot, I would recommend buying food at a Wal Mart or grocery store. Otherwise, plan on spending a lot. There's no way around it, unless you want to eat kiddie meals everywhere you go.

BUY snacks before you go in, will save you money, I promise!!

They are really expensive, so try finding a local grocery story, and take a backpack with you, and fill it with some food, for snacks and stuff. As for breakfast just google the city for breakfast restaurants.

I wouldn't say it's a giant rip-off..... but- it's really pricy.
Food can get super expensive if you end up getting to much so I'd say go ahead get what you want but try to lean towards cheaper stuff and smaller proportions.

Find a walmart or some type of store like it and stock up on snacks/food when you get down there

Pack some snacks and a lunch you will save a giant amount of money and then maybe try something new. Have Fun there!

Hailey:)
for late night snacks when you get there find a grocery store and buy a bag of chips or some thing because they will last longer. :)

closer to the resort/park area = higher prices for everything. if you want to save some $$, head a few miles from the resorts and hotels.

bring one of those purses that pose as a small backpack and stick some crackers etc in there. But, food can cost a pretty penny everything is more than usual. But if an extra 100 on food when you barealy spent money on anything else is going to bother your budget I wouldnt go period. It like this. If a soda cost 1.00 its going to cost about 3-4 in the park. Outside of the park though there is dennys and all the typical stuff though

I would suggest eating outside of Disney World at a small conventional restaurant since Disney World has quite expensive things using fair market value... basically what the average person is willing to pay for it. Kind of like before Valentines day where flowers skyrocket... yeah.

So I would say your best bet is just going around the city pretty locally and just trying different eating places which will help your stay there because you are visiting more than a few places!

And as always with places like that, be safe and have fun!!

The Pop Century Hotel is one of the Value Hotels so you are already doing well. I stay in the Polynesian, a Deluxe Resort, but the Pop Century has a food court, which will be cheap. All of the theme parks will offer cheap eating. Head for food courts and counter service restaurants. Skip buffets and table service if you are trying to cut corners. You could try the Dining Plan, but then your options are limited and if you are a big eater, it's not a good idea.

Food at WDW is incredibly expensive. Buy some cereal, muffins, donuts, granola bars stuff like that at the grocery store and eat that stuff in the morning. Buy some snacks so you are not always buying food at the Hotel or in the park. You'll save tons!

Food is not that expensive.
