I am going to be Visiting Las Vegas?

I was wondering what to do and what to see in Las Vegas. I am not interested in bars or strip clubs. I am not into partying or drinking.

Going there for the sights and sounds... any suggestions?

Just go to www.vegas,com and see all the wonderful things to see and do. Even if you don't gamble there are hundreds of things for you.

Hoover dam, helicopter ride to the grand canyon. drive into red rock canyon to see wild horses, drive to or through the desert town of Pharump and be glad you do not have to live there.

misskimunication
There are tons of shows to see. I suggest Penn and Teller. There are fun spas, tons of amazing shopping and eating, the Bellagio has a beautiful fountain show and beautiful artwork inside...there's an amusement park...

I live here, and I have to say: if you love to party, Vegas is the stop for you. If not...not so much. But there are still things to do:
1)All American Sports Park
2)Adventure Dome
3)Red Rock (actual national park you can visit and climb, if you're into hiking and mountain climbing)
4)Horseback riding
5)Between the California border and Nevada, I know that there's a few hotels and a roller coaster with one of the largest drops, as well as a shopping center. Not sure of the name of this entire place though.
6)Bellagio's fountain show (about 10 min, free of charge)
7)Mirage's volcano show (although I'm pretty sure they're doing construction right now)
8)Mandalay Bay's "Shark Reef" This is probably one of my favorites. They have sharks, of course, but they also have many other aquatic animals.
9)There's plenty of entertainers and shows such as "the Beatles Love" "Cirque de soleil 'O'" and others.
10)Stratosphere has rides and a restaurant (although expensive) at the top.
11)You can also go up to Mount Charleston and hike. By now there should be snow, so you can sled also :)
12)The fremont light show is pretty cool, but it gets crowded down there, and parking is pretty bad.
13)The Flamingo hotel has a zoo, with live penguins and other animals!
14)Treasure Island, now known as "TI" has a pirate and sirens show
Good luck ,and have fun! I hope I helped. Email if you have other Vegas related questions

Bellagio Fountains
This show is a light and sound show, coupled with the fountain display. This takes place in front of the Bellagio Hotel, and is acceptable for everyone of all ages.

Gallery of Fine Art at the Bellagio
Located in the heart of the Bellagio you'll find the Gallery of Fine Art. Stop by and visit the current exhibits to see the artworks that have come from museums as well as private collections. Definitely a things to do in Las Vegas for art enthusiasts

Eiffel Tower Replica
The view from this vantage point is amazing, and you can even take the time to visit the restaurant in the tower, if you are interested in having a little dinner as well.

Las Vegas Space Flights
The zero gravity Las Vegas experience is now available for those who wish to feel weightless. A specially designed Boeing 727 will perform effects of a real space flight including flying smaller parabolas that recreate lunar gravity.

The Volcano Eruption at the Mirage Hotel
Among the many Las Vegas things to do on the strip, starting at 6 pm and ending at 11:30 pm, you can go to the Mirage and witness the eruption of the Volcano. This occurs once every 15 minutes.

The Fremont Street Experience
This show is perhaps one of the most energetic of the free things to do in Las Vegas. Taking up a large portion of Fremont Street and using some of the largest screens in the world, this show is good fun and entertainment for individuals of all ages.

Treasure Island Battleship Show
These shows run every 90 minutes starting at 4 and ending at 11:30pm at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino.

Largest Golden Nugget
In Downtown Vegas, you can see the largest golden nugget in the world at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel. Open 24 hours a day.

Liberace Museum
This museum has a $6.50 entrance fee, but is well worth it. You can see everything possible dealing with the pianist, and spend a lot of time marveling at the wonders this Museum has to offer.

Gaming Classes at the Las Vegas Hilton
If you are planning on gambling, these 30 or so minute classes can be fun and education. Most of them are free, so why not include them in your things to do in Las Vegas? You will need to inquire on class times at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Hoover Dam is pretty neat. They also have a tour that you can take a prop plane to the Grand Canyon for a day. Other than that Vegas is casinos bars and nightlife, or at least that is how I interpreted it when I was there

Hector2you
Check out the "V" show its the ultimate Variety show!! A little bit of everything here! magic, acrobatics, comedy Guaranteed to make your stay worth while. get your tickets at the coca cola bottle on the strip for half off the regular price as well.. Have fun!!!

Chris R

Don't stay along Fremont street. There is absolutely nothing there besides casinos and random crap on the street, so you'll just be having to pay every day to ride that stupid Deuce bus to the strip.

I went there with my girlfriend a bit ago (we were 20 and 19). We don't gamble or party with random people so all we did was go to the strip everyday and look at stuff.

I guess all there is to do is take a picture of the bellagio fountain show, watch the dolphin training, ride the rollercoasters, maybe see one of the shows that are like 75$ per ticket to sit in the back. The pool at the Golden Nugget is pretty badass. We were only there a few days so we didn't have much of a chance to see everything. I wish we had stayed longer and were more pro active about finding stuff.

Walk the strip with some friends and you'll find adventure but, do not go alone trust me vegas is appealing but it is dangerous.

There are many wonderful and interesting places in Las Vegas where you can go & visit, such as, "O" or Ka shows by Cirque Du Soleil, Awesome show Le Reve at Wynn, inexpensive funny comedy Magic show by Mac King at Harrahs to many free shows like The Aquarium at the Silverton to Bellagio's Botanical Garden or you can visit the World's largest and finest classic car showroom 125,000 sq. feet The Auto Collection at Imperial Palace. There are many large shopping malls like Las Vegas Outlet Center to Galleria at Sunset. I usually visit this informative website: http://www.going-lasvegas.com/ to get most of my information on where to go and shop in Las Vegas. Good Luck and have a great time in Las Vegas!
