Arizona is brilliant. Why not try a Dude Ranch holiday for a week. You are assinged a horse for the week & can go on cattle round-up, barn dances, trail riding etc. Very tiring but really enjoyable.

Boston is beautiful, depends what you like doing and whether you want peace or excitement!

West Coast of Canada - Vancouver, B.C. is a pretty hip city and it's right on the ocean. In July there's a big fireworks competition on the beachfront - beautiful. And just an hour or so drive out of the city can bring you to the foothills of the Rockies...

A little more off the coast is the Okanagan Valley. It has great weather in the summer and a HUGE lake with great beaches, and it's got a wonderful fruit industry (peaches, cherries, plums, and other orchard fruit)

Gatlinburg Tennessee is a beautiful, laid back, fun place to vacation, either as a family or a couple. I have never been as a single person, but I have been with friends and had a lot of fun. Not too far from there is Asheville, NC where you can tour the Biltmore Estate, which is awesome.
Also, there is Walt Disney World in Orlando, as well as all the other things to do in Orlando. The beach is not too far away, and there is a lot of nightlife also.

If you go to Canada, go to Alberta, very beautiful sights of mountains. Good for picture taking mostly.. There are also sporting events, you can go skiing, or shopping. :)

Vancouver is incredible. Rains a lot, and is not a hot place, but very nice.

In the states, check out Phoenix, Arizona. Get a car and drive to Sedona. You won't regret it. Do a search on Sedona, AZ.

Wow, the United States is so huge, and Canada is even larger, your best bet is to decide on what you want to do, and that will dictate where you want to do it.

It depends on what you like to do and how much money you have to spend. Washington DC is nice if you like museums and history. Most of the museums are free as well.

Canada is fine, and the whole country is quite interesting, although there are great differences between the regions and provinces. Check them out and then decide where you want to go.

I would however not travel to the USA at this time, under no circumstances. The way the current US administration treats foreign visitors is appaling and unacceptable.
They will take your photograph and fingerprints as if you were a criminal, plus 34 other pieces of intimate personal information, including your complete address, all telephone numbers and your bank and credit card details. There is no need for that, and in fact the European Court of Justice has declared the practice illegal last month.
Since these measures were introduced, I refuse to set foot on US soil or spend one single penny in the USA. I have meanwhile refused all-expenses-paid holidays in New York and Las Vegas, two invitations to teach at Princeton University, and several private invitations. And I will never enter the USA unless the ridicilous and illegal measures are abolished.
It is up to you if you want to be treated like a criminal. If not, don't enter the USA.
