I have stayed in a couple of different places. The All-Star Movies (twice), Port Orleans French Quarter, Caribbean Beach, Polynessian, Contemporary, and Saratoga Springs. My two favorite were the Polynessian and Saratoga Springs, by far. These two were the nicest places I have ever stayed in, both absolutely beautiful, and there was tons to do at each place besides going to the parks, although that is why we went. You really can't go wrong at ANY of the Disney resorts, you get so much for your money that it is worth the price.

Have a good trip! I am going back in March, so I am not TOO jealous!

I was in Dsiney World this time 4 years ago. It was one of the most amazing times of my life. I have never felt more comfortable with myself. It made me feel like I was 8 years old again. We stayed in the All Star Movies and it was pretty nice. We had a room in the Herbie the Love Bug building. I would have liked a different one, but it was cute. The parks are amazing, and make sure you see FANTASMIC! at MGM!!

We have always stayed on Disney Property:

The Contemporary: centrally locate, great places to dine, the Monorail runs through it so Travel is very simple.

The Polynesian: beautiful, located on the Monorail, amazing food and entertainment.

Pop Century: Large, spread out, inexpensive, small rooms. All we need and where we now prefer to stay as we spend very little time in our rooms.

All Star Movie: older, small rooms, large and spread out in large area.

I would make arrangements as soon as possible, we went last year in November and it was very crowded. Have fun!

Yes, there are tons of hotels near Disney World you can choose from at a reasonable cost. But if you want the Disney "feeling" then stay at the Disney Hotel. It is almost connected to the park (convenient).

I stayed in the Holiday Inn International Drive in March, we will probably be going back next august or xmas and stay in Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I usually stay at the Howard Johnson. It is less money they have shuttles to take you to the parks. I would like to stay in Disney one day because the hotels look beautiful. You are going to have a lot of fun.

I will be going to Disney World in Nov. for the 5th time in 5 years. We used to stay off property and rent car. Not anymore. We went in March of this year and decited to stay at the All Star Movies Resort and not rent a car. It was the best thing we could have done. They have the Disney's Magical Express which takes you from the airport to the resort and you dont even have to get your luggage. They do that for you. You also have the luxury of using all there forms of transportation. You don't need a car. This is the only way to go when you are going to Disney World. We will never stay off property again.

Disney's Beach Club (in the villas): It was very nice. The theme was very nice, the pool was awesome, and it was very convinient to MGM and EPCOT, and the Magic Kindom. You can also get really good views to see the pool, lake or ECPOT, where you can see the fireworks at night from your patio/ porch.

Disney's Boardwalk (villas): It was very charming. Very nice aray of shops and resturaunts right on the boardwalk just steps from the lobby. Also convinient to MGM EPCOT and Magic Kindom. You can also get views of the pool, lake, EPCOT fireworks and the Tower of Terror.

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa:
This was nice but no real theme. It was just like staying at any other fancy hotel. You can get views of the pool, gardens, and Magic Kindom Fireworks.

For the first two it was convinient to the Magic Kingdom because you could walk to EPCOT and take the monorail.

I have been there 2 times (the last two years) and i'm going in Oct. We stayed at the value resorts since we dont spend much time at our hotel besides sleeping. I like POP century better than the All Star Movies resort. In oct. we're staying at POP. It's a fun themed hotel. I like the Jungle Book and the big Mickey phone. It is only 87$ a night. I wouldnt ever go to DW w/o staying on property. This way you can take the Magical Express to and from the airport -no extra chargge, and you can save big money with the meal plan, get extra magic hours at the parks, and take busses, monorail, etc to and from the parks and also go to other hotels to eat their awesome food. The first time we went was in Jan 05 and stayed for 7 days. That was PLENTY of time, we did everything in 1/2 the time so then we just did it again. The parks were crowded the first week of Jan. but it was nice that the xmas decor was still up. Our second trip was in mid April -way less crowded, and there were great extra magic hours at the Magic K. it was open til 3am. We were the only ones in Swiss Family Robinsons treehouse!!-and it was only 12am ish. Every ride was walk on! no joke! that time of year was great and we stayed at POP. We went for 4 full days plus part of 2 more (travel days). That was plenty, especially b/c of the extra magic hrs. We went to Magic a few times. We always go to the waterparks, which are awesome!!! 1/2 a day at each is good. Also we rent watercraft, this oct. we're going to rent from the Polynesian after their awesome breakfast.
