I am having trouble choosing a hotel for my Vegas trip. Should I stay at....?

MGM, Treasure Island, or Planet Hollywood.

All three would be fine. MGM is so huge .. it takes forever to just get from your room to anywhere, even to the strip. TI has a show out front several times a night and it gets very congested with people just standing and waiting for the show. It get difficult to even get in and out of the property at those times. Planet Hollywood seems to have the best location .. putting you close to which ever direction you want to go on the strip. My choice would be PH.

I would chose Treasure Island, love their rooms. And it is by Wynn, Palazzo, Venetiain, and walking distance to Caesars.

Or MGM which is by Monte Carlo, NYNY, Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay. But I have never stayed at MGM

Planet Hollywood is the remake of the old Aladdin, small and not right next to any casino but walking distance/long to several

MGM is nice, i dont think TI is that nice PH is good too...dont do the stratosphere it is at the end of the strip and far from alot...NYNY is good and so is Manday Bay....stick around the Excalber NYNY area alot right there

Caesars Palace

Flamingo is nice and is in the middle of the strip which is key to being in Vegas...its cheap and it houses Jimmy Buffets "Margaritaville".

Hooters Resort and Casino

I've been there several times & stayed at Treasure Island every time. It's in a great location (the center of the strip), the hotel is nice.

What I like most is, the casino is so well set that, once you leave & enter the hotel, you forget you're even in a casino. It's quiet, the view is great.

Hope it helps; have fun!

I don't like PH I used to like Aladdin but think that they have removed the atmosphere and class with the conversion to PH.

I like MGM Great location great offers biggest standard rooms of any hotel of its class, has nice bars and must be the only hotel in the world with real lions. Its also cool as you can be there in 10 mins for the airport.

TI is Ok but in my opinion not as nice as MGM it is also much smaller, the rooms are smaller and it tends to be more expensive, the pools are not as good nor are the choices of places to eat but it does have Mystere.

Look for bets offers directly with the hotels here http://vegasuncovered.wordpress.com/2008/10/14/treat-your-self-to-a-las-vegas-bargain-mandalay-luxor-mirage-excalibur-mgm-grand-all-offering-great-discounts/

All of these hotels have very nice rooms, so let's try it this way

LOCATION:
MGM Grand is on South Strip on the most popular corner. It has a monorail station in it so you can easily get from one end of the strip to the other. It is also short walking distance to everything including center strip, M & M World, and Walgreens. This is personally my favorite side of the strip to stay on.

Planet Hollywood is on Center strip right across from Bellagio. It is right in the middle of the action and is a newer hotel so it just got a facelift.

Treasure Island is further up toward North strip. It is still in the middle of everything considering Mirage is next door and Venetian is across the street. It is also a very short walk to the Fashion Show Mall.

PRICE: http://smartervegas.com/
-MGM Grand has specials from $69/night or $90/night with the 3rd night free
-Planet Hollywood has specials for $89/night with 50% off the 2nd night
-Treasure Island is running specials from $55/night

ROOMS:
The MGM Grand has large guest rooms at 446 sqft. They have double pillowtop mattresses, classic motif, black and white marble bathrooms, thick cotton towels, roomy closets, and safes.

Treasure Island has many room upgrade options, but for their standard rooms, they have floor to ceiling windows with various views, they have Elite SensaTIonal beds, marble bathrooms, and in-room safe. You can upgrade to a view room that is on a higher floor and offers views of the strip, the Tropical Lagoon, or the Volcano at the Mirage.

Planet Hollywood offers rooms that are chic, yet plush, 450+ sqft, and standard amenities. They are tastefully decorated.

I don't know if this tells you anything you don't already know, but if I had to choose between the three, I would probably pick MGM Grand just because of it's location. I prefer being slightly away from the center than right in the action.

I really like MGM, it has a great atmosphere IMO. It is close to everything because you can also use the monorail station at MGM. Before you book check the current hotel promotions on http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com in order to save money.

I personally will stay at Treasure Island or MGM Grand. TI for the location and the specials deals they are running till the end of the year. Also a very clean hotel. MGM Grand comes in a close second. Here are the deals for both hotels. Use promo codes and save.

Actually I recommend the Stratosphere, for the price it can't be beat. It is also a very cool hotel and offers the best view of The city that you are going to find. Also the slots have slghtly better odds than others on the Strip, that is debateable and almost irrelevant even if true, the odds are against you no matter what. The Strat is still cool and one of the best bargains on the Strip.
