Go eat at a restaurant called THE IVY near Cedars Sinai Hospital. Its filled with paparazzi and famous people love the attention and the food is good..as for the clubs..any club on the Sunset strip will be fine. The clubs who cater to celebs you need not worry because you will never get in. Just park on Sunset Blvd and walk up and down for a while, there is always someone famous around there, you just have to pay attention..Keep an eye on the valet.....also try Rodeo Drive in the Beverly Hills, its filled with millionaires waisting their money,keep an eye on the valet..parking..whenever you see a mob of photographers moving in a group then you have found a celebrity...just look for idiots holding very expensive cameras waiting for their prey..happy hunting.

Robertson Boulevard is a good place to go for a possible sighting. There are a bunch of expensive shops around Robertson and 3rd Street that the popwrecks like to hang out at. The Ivy is also on Robertson, where there is usually a celeb or two dining. Just look for the trail of paparazzi.

Nightclubs? Honestly I try to steer clear of the clubs in Hollywood. But since you are visiting it might be fun to glam it up. Alex@UCLA has a great club guide and he even has guestlist information for some of them: http://alexatucla.tripod.com/clubhome.html

Paris Hilton

There is a ton of things to do in L.A. without wasting time looking for celebrities which you are unlikely to find....Just do your own thing and if it happens, it happens.....

Honestly, I don't even know if you will see one celebrity. I'm 17 and have been living here my whole live and have only seen a few: Helen Hunt, Paris Hilton, and maybe a few others. I live right by Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Hollywood, all the places you would typically see celebrities. But let's see if I can help. Mr. Chow's in Beverly Hills has a lot of celebrities and if you go to Katsuya which is a sushi place on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, you have a decent chance of seeing a few there.

its free! and you sometimes get to actually say hi to the celebs (like on craig fergusen they come out and shake hands sometimes after the show)

Other have made some good suggestions already. I suggest the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel. If the weather is nice, check out the pool side restaurant as well. Also, try hip places on off nights. For example, Wed. nights is a good time to catch celebs who want to go out but don't want to deal with the weekend crowds. As others suggested, the Ivy on Robertson is a great place (great food but expensive). The shops on Robertson are probably better these days than Rodeo (less touristy). Melrose is good. But you should know they will not look like you expect. They will be dressed down, maybe a cap hiding their face, etc. Oh...last good tip, keep an eye out for the paparazzi. You will see them across the street from some restaurants, out of parking lots, etc., and you will know a celeb is inside. Sometimes they hide well, but keep your eyes out (especially around BH or Hollywood) and you're sure to find someone. Good luck.

i would say that most celebrities are on the "west side", as it's more expensive. places like beverly hills, brentwood, santa monica, and malibu.

Most celebrities, especially the "A" listers, protect their privacy. They rarely go out in public unless it is an event they are appearing. Occasionally one can be seen, but not often.

If you do happen to see one out in public, the proper etiquette is to leave them alone. Don't scream, gush, ask for an autograph, or try to talk to them. Some are nice about it, but you could find yourself quickly removed from the premesis. I just saw a news report about some pushy autograph hound who was in James Gandolfini's face (Sopranos), and got pushed away rather rudely.

Most often, they can be spotted dining out, shopping, or doing other mundane things. Many times, they are â€œdressed downâ€, wearing jeans, tees, sunglasses, and a hat. If you want to try spotting one, try these spots:

The odds of you spotting a celeb in LA is nill. Go to Aspen or Winter Park and you will see plenty

The Farmers Market is a great place to find celebrities, it is actually said to be the #1 place to spot them.

There are a lot of night clubs... try The Cabannah Club, that's a good one

Hollywood neighborhood,=) Anywhere for that matter. If you're really that keen on spotting a celebrity, you might want to look up some movies that are being filmed in the area and hop on over to the place to watch them "at work". Good luck!
