I recommend the Flatiron district in lower Manhattan. That's between Chelsea, and the Village, on the East Side. |

First decide what you want to do, there is so much to do in many areas. Then set your budget, once that is set you can determine which places are in line with what you are looking for.
Check the various sites, then compare to the hotels direct rates before you settle sometimes a bundle is cheaper sometimes not, if you bundle with flight arrangements you cant make changes. |

Umm.. not by Times Square. It's a zoo, unless you get over by 8th Avenue, theres alot of hotels, that's alright over there... I'd rather stay downtown... maybe Hotel Chelsea? |

Well it depends if you are sight seeing or just there to be a part of the city. The Upper West side is always an affordable area that has a lot of resturants and hotels. |

If I were you, I would be going to Lower or Midtown manhattan.
Because Manhattan has everything.
Tall buildings, site seeings, "the" broadway [according to various responses to my own question last night], and etc.
Manhattan is the best part of new york.
It also has Central Park.
Lots of cool stuff. I highly suggest you be going to manhattan.
In order to get to Manhattan, if your not driving or flying there, take Amtrak or the R7 and NJ Transit buses.
The R7 to TRENTON, than right after you get off, you get on the NJ Transit.
The entire ride will probably be anywhere from 1hr 55 minutes - 2hr 12 minutes.
I'm willing to bet its 2 hours at most.
With Amtrak, depending on which class you get, it could be from as low as 49 minutes to as relatively high as 1hr 49 minutes.
Good luck! Hope this helps! |
