I am not sure how this question relates to traveling to Detroit but in answering your question, your friend should be very fortunate to have two good paying jobs in Michigan. After all, Michigan has one of the worst economies in the United States and most people in Michigan Cannot Find Jobs. Your friend needs to appreciate the fact that she has employment available and is not unemployed.

Her life does sound perfect, (kinda like what I got going on) I am not complaining but its the living with your mom part. I love her but sometimes u may get in arguments with her cause you still live wit her ya know??

i think she should move out and be a big girl and get her on place. if she has 2 good paying jobs then she can afford her own place.if she can afford her car and school then deff she can get her own place

Maybe she's not happy with her current situation, or maybe she has bigger goals in life and she hasn't reached them yet so she thinks her life sucks. Did you ask her why she thinks her life sucks?

I think maybe the girls got depression. On the other hand, she's holding down 2 jobs and school. Pretty tough to do if your depressed. I think that maybe she feels a little trapped in the way her life is going. Maybe she wants to be a little more free. But I live in Michigan and am fortunate enough to have 1 good paying job. I don't dare complain about it. Its a horrible thought to think what I'd have to do if I lost it. From the current amount I make now, back to minimum wage. She needs to count her blessings.

She has it better than most people in any state, not just Michigan. People do not realize all they have....some individuals do not even have a home much less a job. Not saying that life isn't hard, it is....but everybody goes through this at one point or another. Some people work harder than others to obtain what they get. Instead of your friend complaining she should be thankful for what she has because it could be far WORSE than that.

Has she not seen those homeless people living under the bridges on the freeways in downtown Detroit?.....i remember seeing a bunch of them everytime my family and I went there. Imagine living like that under those conditions, not to mention in the winter time.

She needs to open up her eyes and stop saying that her life sucks.

Well, it sounds like she is complaining about something. It sounds like there maybe something else she is looking for, instead of what she has already. If she wants the simple life(not having to work at all) then she is one of the many who believe that very same thing. I think that a woman needs to have someone take care of her, not the other way around. but she can also feel validated by what she is trying to accompish by working, if anything. If it is just to pay for her car etc. then she is not looking at it in the right way. she needs to think differently about why she has two good paying jobs, and still lives with her mother. she needs too stop compaining and start living. If she is in school, then she may be looking for something she really wants to do, but needs the education to do that. she is searching still to find her niche in life. she is staying busy to keep herself out of trouble.
