Tennessee has no state tax and a low cost of living. Lots of towns here are pretty quiet with low crime and lots of rural surrounding areas with lots of places for hunting and fishing. Housing costs are not too bad.
We are in the Bible Belt so there are churches on every corner it seems. Tennessee has lots of sports like Nascar and football. (My husband likes). We're not far from the Smoky Mountains, Georgia, Alabama and Florida, so it isn't too hard to get to the ocean or the mountains.
West and middle TN are more progressive. East TN is very conservative. The weather has all 4 seasons but the winters are not too extreme. Small amounts of snow, mainly in the higher elevations. Summer is hot and humid with lots of bugs. We have lots of wildlife. Deer, racoons, opossums, owls, hawks, rabbits, copperheads and rattlesnakes, and snapping turtles. Oh and sometimes an occasional bear will come into town. |

Well, I am from Texas, and if you are under the age 30 and don't specifically want to be on the coast by the beach, Austin is a really fun city. A lot of night life, a lot of music, a lot of people between 18 and 30 since it is a college town. It is referred to as the music capitol of the US so if you like music, it is really awesome. My friend and I used to perform there before I got hitched and popped out a kid. Now I live near Houston, which is normally happenin' but post-hurricane well, everything isn't back to normal yet. If you wanna hit the coast though, get out of Texas, we have the ugly refinery waters of the gulf. Brown water, gross. But Destin is in Florida. It is pretty low-key, not as touristy as the rest of Florida (i used to live in Florida as well, name anywhere in the south, i have lived there.) Destin has gorgeous beaches though, and because there are less tourists the hotels are just as nice but not as pricey as Orlando or the Keys. Another non-coastal city that's fun is Dallas/Ft Worth. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Anyway, hope I helped. Have Fun! |

I Was born in Texas and Lived in Arizona.
Texas is extremely humid so if you don't like humidity then don't move there :P
Arizona is probably one of my favorite states (I've lived in 9 different states)
I lived in Flagstaff and Phoenix. What I really like about Arizona is it has great weather. And during the winter you can stay in Phoenix or drive an hour and go snow skiing.
Sedona is an amazing city. It's in the mountains and has some really cool places to go.
Anymore questions about Arizona or Texas let me know :)
Hope I could help. |

Florida is the place to go and definitely Orlando
Orlando is only touristy and busy in the middle of it by all of the theme parks but just outside of that are very nice surroundings, weather is awesome and it's just a really cool place to be if you want to relax....outside the amusement parks area of course |

i live near atlanta GA. going into town is awesome. But things are nice outside of town. I like it because your not confined to the city if you dont want to be...There are alot of quiet, community cities and towns just outside of atlanta. Where are you originally from? If you arent from here it takes awhile to get used to people lol...just from my experience...I love it though. |
