The Cincinnati Zoo would probably be a really good source. They have a several large cats and a really cool "Cat House" showcasing many species from around the world.
I don't think they have lions anymore though. They did that to make more room for more tigers, specially the endangered Bengal tigers. They have a large habitat for the rare white tigers and are known all over their world for their efforts in saving the endangered species. I think just about every zoo in the country and in other countries probably have a tiger that was born at the Cincinnati Zoo. |

You can try going to the St. Louis Zoo. The zoo is one of the only free zoos in the country.
The place where the cats are is Big Cat Country. |

Tampa Florida has a wonderful place to see Tiger and other large cats, and plenty of little ones too. people drop of there house cats that they don't want. A lot of people don't know its there almost in the middle of the city. And you'll get a lot closer to one than you would at a zoo. It is a resue for abused and negelated Tigers. And it is all done with private donations, fund raising. When I lived in Tampa I went every chance I got. They have a web site. www. BigCatResue.org. I hope you get a chance to go. You'll love it. |

It depends on where you live! If you live near San Diego take a trip to the San Diego Zoo. ( http://sandiegozoo.org ) If you live near Atlanta go to the Atlanta Zoo. If you really want to conserve and protect them visit the WWF at http://www.wwf.org they are in international Environmental Organization. |

The zoo, the circus, Las Vegas, most county or state fairs, Busch Gardens - Disney's Animal Kingdom. Open your yellow pages and start looking. THere is a tiger sanctuary here in Palm Beach County Florida. Now, if you are implying that tigers should be free somewhere here in America, I have to point out that this would not be a good idea. Look at the damage done by mountain lions and they are a fraction of the size of a full grown tiger. whew!! |

You can honestly visit any zoo to find the big cats... one that I like going to is the Cincinnati Zoo, but it isn't in a great place in town... so Seattle's, Columbus', Washington's (state and DC), Indianapolis', etc. Well, the bigger the city, the nicer they usually are. |

If you're going to Florida, try Lion Country Safari. It's a drive-thru, cageless zoo. They have lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, chimpanzees, and others. The website didn't say anything about tigers, so go to a zoo to see them. I went to Lion Country Safari once when I was little (it used to be in California until 1984), but I don't remember seeing any tigers. There were ostriches, though. |

In southern California there is a Feline Breeding Project. It's amazing. This is a research and science compound that is open at special times. You are surrounded by researchers; it makes the best zoo seem like watching TV. It's extremely educational and will open your eyes to the travesty that our species is doing to the rest of the world. The Amur Leopard is one of their specialties, but the fishing cats and the servals really stole my heart. |

Without knowing where you can or are willing to travel, it is hard to tell you the best zoos to go to. I have been to many zoos, but the one in Philadelphia and the National Zoo are two of the best I've seen.
Here is a website that can give you listings of zoos by state and some links for what the zoos have to offer.

Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida is awesome. They have several different types of tigers, as well as lions. Plus they've done such a great job with it that you feel like you're out in the wild with the animals and not in a zoo at all! |

Houston Texas has tigers at their downtown aquarium. I went there a few years ago and there were 2 tigers in there. It was cool watching them, i was just glad i was behind glass. They are really fun to watch. There are also sharks at the aquarium. |

Obviously Tigers are not native to the U.S., so you will not find them living in the wild here, but you can see them at the San Diego Zoo. |
