Seattle of course. Washington state is very scenic.
My reasons are mostly weather related; I would dislike the humidity of Georgia, and the rain in Seattle wouldn't bother me at all.
And I prefer to live nearer to an ocean. |

Seattle - cooler temps and lower humidity, lots to do, diverse city life and short drives to mountains, ocean beaches, lakes... anythign you want! |

I haven't been to either but I would choose Seattle definitely! I would probably prefer the cooler weather and I'm gathering that it is a bit more "progressive" in nature. |

Great question. I just visited Montgomery Alabama and made a side trip to Georgia. I absolutely loved it. The people are so very nice and polite. EVERYONE we came in contact with. Unlike a lot of folks here. Folks on the freeway, what a pleasant difference.
My cousin's house in Atlanta was a 350,000 6 bedroom house. BRAND NEW! Here it would have been maybe a million plus in Bellevue. You can't buy a decent house in Seattle for 350,000.
BUT, we were there in Nov. I hear the weather is extreme in the summer and I'm a slug weather person.
I would move to Georgia/Alabama in a heartbeat if it weren't for the extreme hot weather. |

I'd rather live in Seattle. I've been to Atlanta many times and I can tell you this...the air isn't as clean, the weather isn't as mild (too hot), the scenery isn't nearly as beautiful, the people aren't as friendly as you'd think for a southern town.
I don't have a very high opinion of Atlanta, so I guess for me it was an easy choice. |

No question, Seattle.
Atlanta doesnt have the mountains, hiking, skiing and the ocean like Seattle does.
Seattle doesnt have the crime and inner city poverty that Atlanta has.
I read an article recently about the large number of prostitutes and strip clubs in Atlanta. It just doesnt sound very nice.
Seattle has a high percentage of well-educated people.
Seattle is very family friendly.
Seattle isnt 90 degrees and 90% humidity every day in the summer. |

Atlanta Georga.
I've heard many many times that people who live in Washington are commonly depressed, simply because it is usually cloudy, rainy and dreary outside. It is, however, lush and very green.
Georgia has plenty of sunshine, probably milder winters, close to the Smoky Mountains (beautiful); and has the famous southern hospitality. |

I am an east coast gal. I would prefer Atlanta because it is in the south which is where I grew up, which does not make me a racist fyi. Racism and prejudice is everywhere not just in the south.
Also, I like the climate and the proximaty to the mountains. Because it is inland Atlanta is not as susceptible to mother natures weather tyrants(tornados and hurricanes). |

Seattle.
The city is much more progressive. The most literate city in the country, with the highest percentage of post graduate degree recipients. Obviously - the smart ones go there. |

seattle, wa. i've been to atlanta, ga and i've never seen neighborhoods more racist and hostile, it was scary! but then most of ga seems to be that way, each culture/race/religion hates the others with a ferocity that completely astounds! i've never been to seattle, it might be worse but i hope no place on earth is that bad |

I would prefer to Seattle. It is a much cleaner city than Atlanta and much safer. The scenery is nice on a clear day (may not have many) but its better than the excruciating heat and humidity of Atlanta in summer. And there are more places to go snowboarding (Crystal Mountain, Baker). |

I would have to say Seattle Washington. Why? Never lived over on the east coast before. Sounds like they have a lot of natural disasters over there... |
