If I arrive at my hotel after midnight, will I be charged for the previous night?

It depends on the hotel. Call them and let them know what time you will be arriving. Some will say you are early check in and others will say you are late check in. What day did you reserve it for? If you gave Monday but will arrive after midnight, you are really arriving Tuesday early in the morning. Check with the hotel is your best bet.

Check in time is usually after 2PM and check out time is 11AM, if you get there in between those times you will be charged for the full day.

John P
yes, standard check out times are noon and check in times are 3pm - if you check in to a room before check out time (noon) - you will be charged.

hotels usually have check out times at about 11am - 12 noon. time doesnt start at midnight. so if you get there at midnight or 2 am you still have to checkout by the time i stated

If you have guaranteed your room reservation with a credit card, the room will be held for you all night. If it is not a guaranteed reservation, more than likely they will not hold it after 6:00 PM. The guaranteed room will be billed to your credit card whether you ever show up, or not.

depends on the hotel.

I once arrived at 3:00 a.m

got the same room

but was only charged 3 nights instead of 4

at end of stay.

Not if you request a "late check-in". Call the hotel and ask for the late check-in and you'll be fine. Most hotels will hold your room for 8-12 hours after regular check-in hours, some hotels will hold it for 24 hours. However, it's best to be safer than sorry so, call ahead. Good luck.

Charges for hotels are based on a 24-hour period from about noon to noon. So, you would be charged a full day for the half day that you spent at the hotel between midnight and noon.

Call them and tell them you'll be late.

Hi,

There are several factors involved in answering your question. If you are going on a weekend or holiday(when a majority of the rooms are booked up in advanced) then you will likely be charged. The big hotels like taking good care of their customers and going the extra mile for them. If you discuss the possibility of that happening with the front desk then there is always the possibility they will waive it. Selling their rooms out is their business, so you have to keep that in mind when asking them to overlook something like this.

I spent six years dealing with all the major casino hotels in Las Vegas and i can tell you that the first people you meet there valet and front desk, goes a long way towards showing the quality of their service and if their customers really matter to them.

Hope it works out for you and that you have a great time in Vegas!

It depends. If you're taking a red-eye flight, call and ask the hotel to pro-rate the night for you. It may not be half price, but you'll pay less. Same thing if your flight is delayed. SOME hotels will do it, some will not.

cool dude
Yeah, i guess so. The hotel probably doesn't care when you get there; as long as you register for a specific day-----does that help?

no but you can not check in until after 11 AM. if you want to check in NOW, yes you be charged, ie, you arrive at hotel at 2 AM Monday. if check in now you will be charged for Sunday; if after 11AM you will be charged only for Monday. check in/out times vary at each hotel/motel, please ask your hotel for rules
