We don't have a king or queen, never have. After the revolutionary war they offered to make George Washington king, but he said we just finished a war to get rid of kings, so we've never had a king (or queen).

you certaintly are a dumb american, the queen of england doesnt have much say in the government these days so shes not technically a queen, there was an absolute monarchy over there in the 1800s and before that, where the queen controlled everyting but it doesnt work like that anymore, and in the USA we have a president so i guees hes the "king" so the "queen" would be his wife.

The USA doesn't have a queen. The USA operates under a democracy, so there is no need for a queen. However, England used to operate under a monarchy, which had a king, queen, and other members of the royal family. Even though England now has a democracy, it still keeps the title of the queen for tradition's sake. The queen now has no real power in parliament in England; she is just a symbol.

I think it has to be the Statue of Liberty. She has all the political clout of our Queen, appears to go on for ever, there's not a great deal inside and she originated from somewhere in Europe.

Just think yourself lucky that she's relatively low maintenance and doesn't keep corgis (the thought of a 30 ft high copper corgi boggles the mind).

America runs under a weirded out democracy because the only REAL democracy there was, was in Ancient Greece. Well we run under a democracy not a ruled contery. So i hope that answers your 3rd grade question.
