Quite a number to choose from really. I like the idea of Alaska and of course, Canada. Northern Norway would probably be my first choice (any place above Trondheim). Tromso always seems to have a spectacular setting with all the water around it.

But then, I like Iceland too.

It's worth thinking of the Southern hemisphere as well. Patagonia in particular seems an incredible part of the world, but it must be a very tough life. I've always wanted to go to Policarpo. Not sure if I would live there though. Islas Malvinas? Maybe not.

I love Alaska. But, it's not cold all the time. They have summers that are not only hot, what you've heard about the size of the mosquitoes in Alaska is true. I think Norway is one of the most beautiful places there is. I could never live somewhere that is hot all the time - I hate the heat.

Alaska very nice but cold

How cold is cold? I'd go to Holland. that place is pretty nice. But i'd rather stay in NYC. Its pretty cool here. I'm a new yorker (:

louisem28
Soewhere with lots off snow and I would stay in one off those log cabins with a great big open fire, now that sounds great

I say, live in Alaska...
if you find a peice of unclaimed land, you can name anything and live there, no need to buy anything....just tell the government and they'll give you papers....
its a beautiful place, especially in the winter.lol.

The librarian
I'm with Roggo69 - Iceland. I went there in October and it was wonderful. Icelanders are delightful people too.

probably Alaska because i hear its really nice there and i would luv 2 c the northern lights. Or Greenland that sounds nice. Also u should work on your spelling

Marie
Well, I already live in NYC and it is pretty cold here.

I would also live in Chicago, which is usually colder than NYC in the winter.

And I would definitely live in Alaska, because you don't have to pay any income taxes there!

Internationally, I would live in Iceland.

allaboutthewords
I hear Toronto's nice...

Probably one of the Scandinavian countries (Norway, Finland or Sweden) Things are usually going pretty well for them and the countries are pretty clean and safe. Unfortunately, I know the cost of living is very high.

My other option would be Canada just because it's closer to the US, I speak English and my French isn't that terrible if I chose to live in the Quebec area. So, realistically, I'd choose eastern Canada. If I were a more daring person with more money, I'd try Scandinavia.

Googlypants
Finland, so i can eat reindeer at Christmas.
