Go on a cruise to Alaska. I did the Alaskan Cruise out of Seattle, and I'm so glad I did. It is beautiful.

There are so many excursions to do. You can go to the glaciers, fishing, go see brown and black bears, lots of nature, whale sightings, kayaking, gold panning and touring of each port.

don't go to Las Vegas. every building is a casino. pornography litters the streets. if your into those kinds of things...go for it.

i would say... Alaska. it's BEAUTIFUL up there!!! but bring your warm clothes.

Well personally, I would go to Iowa to visit my family. And again personally...I think it is a great place to spend some down time, precisely because it is slow paced which probably doesn't earn it any points (might translate to some as being hickish or boring).

As for the rest of the country, it totally depends on your tastes, your budget, and your interests. Every area of the country has it's own little thing to offer.

As far as diversity of things to do...New York, California, and Texas probably top the list...something for everyone type places.

The fall foliage is beautiful in many parts of the country, it is huge popular attraction in North Carolina. Maybe it is too late for that.

San Francisco is the most beautiful city in America. The temperature is always perfect and there's so much diversity and so much to do.

I'd go to Salinas Puerto Rico. It's a beautiful island. While I'm there I'd go snorkling and then I'd go eat, they have such good food.

Our vacations are usually in the summer.

#1 - Wyoming - Yellowstone & the Tetons
Sightseeing, wildlife viewing and fly fishing. Did it This past summer - will do it again when I can afford it. We fly fished all the rivers in the park. We also fished the Madison in Montana and Henry's Lake in Idaho. Saw elk, deer, moose, antelope, eagles, buffalo, black bear, grizzley bear and wolves. Great hiking trails.

#2. Alaska was also great. Sightseeing & fly fishing. We did the cruise from Vancouver to Seward/Anchorage; then by train to Denali. Super.

Want to go to Hawaii - but mainly to Kauai

Upstate New York - Adirondack Mts. - fly fishing, sight seeing, visiting our son. We went in the fall and the foilage was beautiful.

Cape Cod - sight seeing and eating seafood

Colorado - fly fishing, rafting, sightseeing, hiking.

California - HIghway 1 all the way to Washington( hoping to go in a couple of years)

Disneyworld - someday with our grandchildren at Christmas.

So many places to go!

Save your money & take a trip and never leave the farm ,like my friend did? Here is their story:
The wildwood flower grew wild on the farm
And we never knowed what it was called
Some said it was a flower and some said it was weed
I didn't gave it much thought...
One day I was out there talking to my brother
Reached down for a weed to chew on
Things got fuzzy and things got blurry
And then everything was gone
I Didn't know what happened
But I knew it beat the hell out of sniffin' burlap

I come to and my brother was there
And he said, 'What's wrong with your eyes?'
I said, 'I don't know, I was chewing on a weed'
He said, 'Let me give it a try'
We spent the rest of that day and most of that night
Trying to find my brother, Bill
Caught up with him 'bout six o'clock the next mornin'
Naked, swinging on the windmill
He said he flew up there
I had to fly up and get him down
He was about half crazy

The very next day we picked a bunch of them weeds
And put 'em in the sun to dry
Then we mashed 'em up and we cleaned 'em all
And put 'em in the corncob pipe
Smokin' them wildwood flowers got to be a habit
We didn't see no harm
We thought it was kind of handy
Take a trip and never leave the farm

A big ol' puff on the wildwood weed
Next thing you know
We's just wandering behind the little animals
All good things gotta come to an end
And it's the same with the wildwood weed

One day this feller from Washington come by
And he spied us and he turned white as a sheet
And he dug and he burned
And he burned and he dug
And he killed all our cute little weeds
Then he drove away
We just smiled and waved
Sittin' there on that sack of seeds

i would go to hawaii or FLORIDA!!! um...so i would go to florida because they have disney world,sea world,NASA and a whole bunch of other stuff. I would go to hawaii for the sites
