UOP Is a good school for Pharmacy.
Berkely is hard to get into
Davis is engineering and medicine
Chico is for getting drunk and stoned and raped.

And Stockton is a hellhole....bring your gun and practice shooting before you attend.

I work for UC Davis and I find that people who do go there actually love the area... but it's true that it's a very small town, but some people like that. You can always live in Sacramento and commute (though the time of day you do it would be a huge factor). I actually live in Sacramento and make the commute, but luckily it's in a different time of day than most commuters. If you like to ride bikes you'll fit in quite well there...

CSU Chico is, yes, a party school. But I have a friend who graduated from there and while it is also a smallish town (unless you like to party with frat boys and sorority girls all day).

My best friend's mom works at Berkeley.... and the campus is absolutely beautiful. But it's a hippie school too.... no problem getting your fix there...

And I agree with the rest of the sentiments about UoP... stay the HELL away from Stockton!

As far as programs go... the only thing I know is that UC Davis is world renowned for some of their sciences... with quite a few accolades to their contribution towards the betterment of society. (not that I'm biased or anything). If you're interested in business or agriculture, Davis is definitely a good place to go.

And Sacramento nightlife rocks!!!!!

well davis sucks, but the school is great depending on what you're studying. chico has a beautiful campus but its the biggest party school in california. i don't know much about college of the pacific. i would say berkeley.
