I would take you at least 30 minutes to get anywhere, then you'll just have to turn around and leave.
But if you can manage something, choose from the following:
1) Coit Tower
2) Cable car ride
3) Crooked Lombard St.
4) Lunch at any of a variety of different ethnic restaurants. |

Have an Irish coffee at the Buena Vista. Or two. |

Go to Kate o'Briens and have either a pint of Murphy's or Paulaner Hef. |

Just one hour? That really is not enough to fully experience SF. But, if one hour is all you have, I would just go to the Ferry Plaza. You can eat outside (along the walkway), and just people watch. It has been recently redone, and is a nice place to just hang out. |

Go eat at The Boulevard (I love the food). OR buy a pizza from somewhere in the Embarcadero & sit outside at Fisherman's Wharf & people watch - it's a beautiful place to do lunch. |

Are you at the airport for an hour? Yuck.
If you are downtown for an hour, ride a cable car! |

Ride the cable car and see as much of the city you can. If you are at the airport get a cab and tell the driver you want a 45 minute tour of the city. Good luck and have fun. |

Depends upon where you are in that time frame of an hour. Fisherman's Wharf, walk part to view the Golden Gate Bridge, pass Lombard street, the crookedest street in the world, ride the cable cars etc |

Buy dimsum togo from Yang Sing located on One Recon.
Look the airplanes take off from the Marriott located in Burlingame, CA (south of SF).
Walk around the Fisherman's Wharf and try a bowl of clam chowder.
Talk to a gay guy just for fun. |

Eat a quick Sourdough Bread bowl filled with Clam Chowder (at Boudin Bakery), then head toward Ghiradelli Square, buy some chocolate and then get on the cable car right there. It takes you all the way to Union Square, but hop off at Lombard Street, check it out, and then continue to Union Square...look around, soak up the atmosphere...and your hour will be up. |

Take a cab to the Haight-Ashbury district. You'll never forget it! It's like a time warp, then you're gone, back into the space age! The Muir woods are great but you won't have time for it. You can shop anywhere any time. Chinatown is like Chinatown in any city, except bigger. |
