If you had the choice of living in Hawaii or New York which would you pick? |
I know that Hawaii and New York are two totally different types of places, but do you think you would prefer the big city life or life in the tropics? |

New York. I would go out of my mind in Hawaii - I can take just so much of beaches. Here, I've got the bus on the corner - the bus runs 24/7. I've got a supermarket around the corner. I've got the markets on Ninth Avenue where I can find any meat or fish I like. There is a wonderful farmer's market in Union Square Park. I have a choice of a dozen cable companies. I've got the best theatre, ballet, opera, symphonies. How many hula dances could I possibly sit through? I've got the best restaurants and the greatest variety in the world. And how would I earn a living in Hawaii? No, I will never leave New York. |

I did have the choice of moving anywhere in the country when I moved out of my moms house. I chose NYC. Hawaii is beautiful but I have a problem with the fact that it's so far away from the mainland and volcanoes scare me a little. I'm also an east coast person and I grew up in CT and I like to stay close to what I'm familiar with. |

Absolutely Hawaii! I go there regularly and always come back home wishing that someday I could live there.....I'd visit New York though...I haven't been there, but have heard that it's a great place to visit. |

I would choose New York City over Hawaii and here is why;
1. NYC has very effecient public transportation so you do not need a car.
2. In NYC, I can travel to 47 other states without a passport while in Hawaii, you need a passport to leave the island to travel anywhere in the United States.
3. NYC has everything that you need and has so much to offer that you never get bored.
4. NY has professional sporting teams while Hawaii does not have any professional sporting teams (that I am aware of).
5. NY is the media capital of the world and since I am interested in one day working in media, I would have so many opportunities available. |
