I have stayed at several places, and all were very nice My favorite was the Bellagio, the service there is impeccable, I was treated like a king (which I am not) Rooms very spacious, clean and a great view of the strip.
The Bellagio is very large but I had a map and had no problems getting in and out, although I did spend the majority of my time there.
There is much to see at the Bellagio, the O show by Cirque Du Soleil, the Botanical Gardens, The Famous Fountains in Lake Bellagio and the Gallery of Fine art.
And the food, My favorite was Michael Mina (formerly Aqua) Same Chef/Owner, and for our farewell breakfast we spent several hours at the Buffet,
We did not do any shopping but a fair amount of browsing.
If you decide to stay there ask for a lake view room you will not be disappointed.
Have Fun!

Stayed at the Mirage and Imperial Palace. The Mirage was a nice treat, and the rooms were beautiful, and the people were all really nice. Imperial Palace was a little dumpy, but it was clean, and had a fantastic location right in the middle of the strip. If you don't plan on being in your room much, save your money and go with Imperial Palace. You're only going to be getting 4 hours of sleep, anyway. |

Excalibur - I got married in the Canterbury Wedding Chapel!
To decide which one to stay in, depends what theme you like. Make sure it is on the main strip though and go and visit all the others around, it is a truly "awesome" experience! |

The Excalibur.
It was cheap and cheerful...well located on the strip and connected to New York New York via travelator.
I absolutely loved it and I'm sure wherever you go (as long as its on "The Strip") you will have an awesome time.
Enjoy!
Ooh forgot to say - when you are in Vegas you *MUST* visit the piano bar in New York New York. Its an absolute must see - the two duelling pianists - I can guarantee you will have an absolutely hilarious night. |

Four Seasons at the Mandalay, Circus Circus, Tropicana, Rio, The Mint, Show Boat.
The Four Seasons is peaceful you walk out of the loud Casino and into a world of pampering and no noise. You can hear a pin drop. It is on the high end of expense, but it is worth every Dollar spent. The best part is the staff is there to make your stay the very best. Just remember if you don't like something tell the staff they will do everything they can to correct the porblem. |

Paris. It is a great hotel and not that expensive. And if this is your first time going it is a good idea to say there just because it is located in center strip and it really is better to stay in the center of everything. Very clean casino, rooms, bathrooms everything & romantic |

Harrah's is great. (met my husband there!)
Bally's is nice. (got married there)
Paris is awesome. (got my hair done for my wedding there)
Barbary Coast is cheap, but clean.
Flamingo Hilton is very nice. Nice pools and outside jungle-like area with flamingos and penguins.
These are all in great locations mid-strip. You can walk to lots of hotels/casinos there.
Excaliber is ok...too big...takes too long to get out of the hotel and out to the strip. Same with MGM.
Rio is nice, but so far away from the strip...cabs cost too much.
Same with anything downtown, unless you are just going to stay downtown and not go up strip. Golden Nugget is a nice hotel, but I get bored staying downtown for more than a day or two. |

I've stayed at Luxor, Excalibur, Treasure Island, Hard Rock, the Mirage, and the Riviera.
TI is my absolute favorite with the Hard Rock a VERY close second. Just a cool party vibe in general. I liked the Mirage and Luxor also. (Had the BEST room ever at Luxor! Jacuzzi suite!) Excalibur was fine, but it went downhill not long after. (I walked thru the next year and there was garbage in the casino and it just looked dirty. EW!) The Riviera was just GROSS. Flies in the room - and we asked to change rooms three times. Two thumbs down on that one!!! |

We've been to Vegas a couple times. We stayed at Riviera, Excalibur and Imperial Palace. Riviera was too far from the strip. Excalibur was more of a children's hotel. Imperial Palace was decent looking, but with small elevators that took forever to arrive, but it was located in the middle of the strip. In the future, we want to stay at a 5 star hotel/casino that's located in the middle of the strip. If you can afford it, take a look at Ceasars Palace or the other 5 star hotels. |

Aladdin is my favorite. Great shopping, great pool, fantastic spa. Fabulous location right in the middle of the strip. Our room had a great view of the Bellagio fountains. |

i went last year with my good friend. We stayed at the Riviera. It IS on the north end of the strip. so is is away from a lot of the clubs (except The Beach) but they weren't expensive, they're clean, courteous, and we had a BALL!!! not as pretty as the newer hotels, but I would recommend this hotel if you're on a budget. It's not bad at all. And check out the show Splash too. It's awesome!!! |

MGM Grand
It was excellent, the fact is,of all the main hotels in Vegas there are no bad ones !
It doesn't matter which one you stay in but be sure to go into as many as possible and see them for yourself.
Go to as many of the shows in the various hotels as you can.
I hope you have a ball,good luck ! |

Excalibur - Years ago, largest hotel in the world at the time. From memory it was absolutely fine, very reasonable too.
Mirage - great views, lovely hotel. A lot more expensive.
Belagio - Amazing hotel - hugely expensive but a fantastic experience.
You absolutely HAVE to go and see "O" when you go. It's on at the Belagio, but you don't have to stay there to get tickets. It's a Cirque du Soleil thing in water. Incredible.
Have a great time!! |

1st time: Harrah's
2nd Time: Flamingo
Both good sized, clean rooms. Great view from the Flamingo, but did ask for it at check in. Rubbish view at Harrah's but did not spoil the holiday.
Both hotels are excellent locations, mid strip, so really easy to go out an explore.
Harrah's has 'Carnival Court' outside, which is an open air music and cocktail bar, which was a nice way to start / finish a night. Some people have said that you can hear it from your room though, but we did not find this to be the case.
They do a lovely champagne breakfast / brunch buffet at the Flamingo on a Sunday.
Have a look at the website www.tripadvisor.com, which has hotel reviews from members of the public. I have popped a link to the right page below: |

I've stayed at Excaliber and it was nice..couldn't complain.
Then I've been at Paris..which was wonderful.
Monte Carlo was ok..but still don't have anything bad to say about it. It just felt like a regular hotel and it didn't help get me into the vegas mood.
The Luxor was wonderful too.
Bally's..I had a bad experience there..the rooms were fine too but they accused us of staying one night more than we should have but what happened is they booked us on the wrong dates. When we arrived, our room wasn't even made. So I wouldn't go there anymore..however, in their defense they did fix our problem after we complained.
My suggestion is as long as you get a hotel along the strip. I wouldn't go to a motel 6 or similiar because you'd be cheating yourself out of the vegas experience. |

The Mirage....it's very pretty inside and they have a volcano that erupts outside. Their pool is out of this world!!! It's awesome! |

Hilton Las Vegas its fine but too far off the strip so my advice is Mirage stopped there and that's OK and the new Alladin is ok and the old fav is Ceasars your amongst all thats going on and walking distances Golden Nugget downtown is good as always but since they covered it all in its like being in an arcade and the strip is more lively You'll have a great time cant fail |

the first time we went, we stayed at the mandalay bay, last year we stayed in the belagio, and we are going again this year back to mandalay, the whole package for both cost the same, but all the hotels are fantastic.
i dont think it matters where you stay because your out all the time in all the other hotels anyway.
wherever you decide to stay, have fun. |

Have been to Las Vegas many times and stayed at several hotels. Have stayed at Stardust, Riviera, Circus Circus, Lady Luck, Tropicana, Excalibur, San Remo, Harrah's, Golden Nugget, and Mirage. All of those are great hotels. However....I would discourage you from the San Remo.....they have lax security....of the 20+ times I was there, that was the only time I had money stolen.....right there in the casino. Wherever you pick, enjoy! |
