Seriously though, those are your best bets. Or the IVY. just follow the paparazzi. where there is a camera there will be a celeb.

Yea, you and every other 16 year old girl that comes here to visit. Celeb's don't "hang out" on street corners just waiting to be mobbed by fans and autograph seekers. They protect their privacy, and it is rare to see one in public, (this is their time off duty, ya know) .The odds aren't on your side on this endeavor, but you may just be one of the lucky few.
At least let me "Thank You" for being one of the few people from out of state that didn't call our state "Cali". It's an insulting term that most Californians don't appreciate.
PS: The REAL Laguna Beach is just a small town full of old rich people, and not at all like what is portrayed on that dumb MTV "reality" show, so you can scratch that off your "things to do" list. |

venice boardwalk. i have lived in venice for over a year and the very first time i came here, i went to the boardwalk, and i saw joan osbourne, minnie driver, angelica huston, and the blonde guy from that seventies show all in one day. i saw javier bardem at the abbotts habit, as well as jason schwartzman, wesley snipes, gretchen moll, and samuel l. jackson. the taco place right next to there, i was with my friend mo and she had her baby, and we started talking to a redhead sitting near us who was super friendly. it wasn't til i stopped petting her super cute dog that i noticed it was molly ringwald. she was super nice and talked with us for like ten minutes about babies. that stuff happens all the time in venice. |

i'd say hang around beverly hills/rodeo drive area. it's pretty rare, but recently when i came out of my orthodontist (who is in beverly hills) i saw chris brown and rihanna come out from a building so its pretty much luck.

Go to The Grove in L.A. -- I see a celebrity there every time I go and I go often! It's next to the CBS lot too, so you're pretty much guaranteed seeing a celebrity. |

it matters how much time you have. If its next year u can try to get a ticket to an American idol show.. i went to one a few years ago. I got to meet the judges. But to be honest you need connections with ppl that work in the entertainment industry like my friend's mom. |

Go to where the stars live, try hanging around Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake, Jay Leno is always driving around in his old Model T, and usually hangs around there on Friday nights with other members of the car clubs. Let's see, in Toluca Lake lives Andy Garcia, Denzel Washington, and you have a whole bunch of other celebrities hanging out there because it's so close to all the major studios; Warner Bros, NBC, Universal, CBS.
Go to Louises Trattoria on Laurel Canyon and Ventura, let's see Britney Spears is always in the area, in fact it was a couple of blocks aways where she shaved her hair off, she lives in Studio City anyway. I've seen Michael Jackson, Keira Sedgwick, Antonio Sabato Jr, Britney, Cher, Usher, there's always a bunch of celebs there.
I've been across the street to the City National bank and seen Erick Estrada, Ed O'Neill, and Carmen Electra in there standing in line behind me or in front.
You may also want to try Le Petite Chateau on Riverside Blvd in Toluca Lake, you can always find huge celebs there too, I've seen Brad Pitt, Brett Butler, Jamie Foxx, William Shatner, they go there too.
Besides that you can drive around Toluca Lake and view some of the mansion, Bob Hope's mansion is on Ledge and Moorpark, Markie Post lives down the street, the Disney family use to live around the corner, the Kern's family still lives there (Kern's nectars). Also if you go to Porto's Bakery on Magnolia and Hollywood Way you may see some celebs there too.
Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, across the street from the Disney Studios is another hot spot for celebs, they usually go there to get any medical treatment. In fact a friend of mine was actually fired from there a couple years back when Tom Cruise checked into the hospital, she couldn't contain herself and went to visit him in his room. Here's a hint, his real name is Thomas Mapother. |
