Don't be scared! Just look at it as an opportunity to start over again. To turn over a new leaf!

Think of all the things you want to be: more outgoing, more popular, more intellegent? Well, you can do those things without people not believing in you at your old school, because the people in Iowa don't know the kind of person you were before.

Just take this as an experience to make new friends and be the best person you can.(:

I moved to Iowa from California five years ago. Its not to bad to move. It all depends on what part of Iowa you move to. The one thing that may be hard to adjust to is the weather if you aren't used to the extreme humidity or the snow. Just be open to the change and stay positive.

Both.

Your asking people how you should FEEL?!? How DO you feel? I would hope your a little of both...sad to be leaving behind the old comfortable routine...happy to be leaving behind the old well worn routine! Good luck!

It depends..is it gonna be a better place? are you gonna have family or friends wherever you are moving to? do you have a lot of very good neighbors where you live who you will miss when you move out?? what is the really the reason you are moving? I think I would be happy though!

Terrence D
depends what waits for you a new beginning of hope or is it
slavery and drudgery its always sad leaving old friends
but hey there is going to be new ones and gives you an excuse to have a holiday

It depends where you move from.

I haven't heard to much about Iowa so I can't help you much there, but if your moving from somewhere like California or New York, it's a major step down.

But if you do like country life then hey, it might be good.

Jojo
How old are you? Three? No one can tell you how to feel! You just do!
So, how do you feel?

ps. moving is great for fresh starts & it's so easy to keep in contact with old friends in this day & age of technology.

if you hav friends that are good and loyal and he best! u should b sad!! but if your life was totally bad for you and u had no 1, then you should think of this as a new begining where u can b whoever you wanna b and start over on a new leaf. you should b happy if this is the case!

You can be both happy and sad about moving. You are leaving everything you know so naturally you would be sad and scared but you can also be happy about going somewhere new and having the opportunity to meet new people and do new things. Just try to make the best of it...

Victoria
Just stay in-touch with your friends and you'll be fine

Halie
i deepens if you like the house u r in now and the same with the new 1

Moving can be very overwhelming. I know, I moved 9 times in 9 years, but have been settled the past 10 years now. whew!
Is Iowa where you wish to be? If it is where you want to be there is nothing wrong with being happy and scared. If it is someplace you are uncertain about, give it a chance, and if you don't like it, give it a year then move elsewhere. There's nothing wrong with feeling sad and scared either as long as you do not allow that sadness to interfere in your life and work.
good luck

Happy is always better. You will see new things, meet new people and have new opportunities. Look at the postive, not the negative. What will you do in Iowa; what can you do in Iowa (you can do anything you want).

rcabletn
Who is to say if you will or will not meet the best person in your life ? Perhaps good fortune awaits. Release the fear and be adventurous.

Robert
