It's normal to be scared, but don't let it stop you from flying. More people die in car accidents than plane crashes. As for 9/11, that was 4 1/2 years ago and nothing similar has happened since, if it helps you to think about it like that. |

Dont ride in a plane or you will most likely DIE! Think OSAMA YOUR MAMA! What kind of fu*king parent(S) let their 14 yearold DAUGHTER ride by HERSELF on a plane specialy AFTER 9/11!!!! |

Don't worry, hon- airplanes are a VERY safe way to travel, and since 9/11 the security has gotten much better. You will be fine! |

Security has increased dramatically since 9/11. They xray all your stuff.. they check for bombs.. metal detectors, etc. Did I mention they make you take off your shoes??
There are also air marshalls that fly in airplanes that are armed in the case of terrorists. |

Try not to worry! I have flown all my life and was a bit nervous flying again in 12/2001 but I did it and have had no fear since. The first thing on everyones mind there is safety and security. Everything will be ok. Pray and God will be with you! |

Don't worry, you'll be fine. The statistics of the plane crashing are like 1 in a million. I had my first flight when i was 15 i was really scared because it was less than a year after 9/11 it was in June 2002... So i was really scared. It's actually quite fun on the way up- it's great! It feels like riding in a roller coaster! |

okay i was 14 when i first flew by my self and the one thing my mom told me that helped me and i didn't worry was. think about how many planes leave everyday from just usa airporst.. (that ALOT) now think about how many you hear of crashing. And don't worry about 9/11 they have it all undercontrol now. I was in ny on vacation during the 9/11 and i had to fly back home on 9/20 even though it was days past i was freaked out and then i realized they wouldn't dare doing it again. Don't worry and have fun. |

nOTHIN TO BE scared of.

Nowadays, security is way better than it was back in 2001. It is annoying to go through all the security checks, but at least you don't have to worry about the other passengers on the plane. If you think about it, it's more dangerous driving to the airport than it is flying on the plane! If it were really dangerous, no one would want to be a flight attendant or pilot. So don't worry and have fun! |

Don't worry. You're safer on a plane than in a car. When was the last time a plane crashed in the US?... |

Its gonna be okay, hun. Since 9/11 they have tightened up security. My sister friends younger brother accidentally packed a pair of not sharp fold-able scissors, and they took them. But even still when i fly i get scared too. So i try do other things. Bring lots of things to do. I like to bring lots of teen magazines(teen people, seventeen, cosmo girl, ect.)those are always fun. Music, you can bring your cd player or ipod. Though you cant use it for the first and last half an hour. Eating keeps you busy. So bring lots of gum and snack foods. Though they have drinks on the plane i would bring a water bottle. Lets see what else. Handheld games are good. Really anything compact or small that you like to do.
Have a fun trip, and good luck. =] |

Think of "Lost", you might have an adventure or get caught in a love triangle on a tropical island! Plane crashes can be soooo romantic. |

Don't sweat it. Contrary to popular belief, terrorists didn't take over the planes with "box cutters", but by taking advantage of the fact that everyone assumed they should cooperate with the hijackers. That would NEVER happen again on an American flight. Of all the new "security measures" that are in place, that knowledge is the most important. |

Flying is nothing to be afraid of. Airline food on the other hand is something to be dreaded. Stay away from it as much as possible. |

I had to ride on a plane when I was 12. And that wasn't as long ago as you may think, either. Don't be scared and get over it. I rode on a plane with a bunch of weirdo adults and weirdo kids. |

I flew my first time by myself when I was six. The flight-Stuarts escorted me from plane to plane but I was fine. Now I fly all the time. Don't worry about it. Just don't get on the plane if you see "rag heads" (is that rosiest?)
Two things I can't stand racial profiling and Arabs on my plain. It's a joke lightn' up people. |

You should not.
They say that the plane is safer than the car.
And you are braver than many other, because a real brave is who fights his fears not who have none. |

Your statistically more likely to die in a car crash. So don't worry about flying, worry about those big trucks and tired drivers. |
