The US tried to make Canada a state in 1812 by invading. The Canadians expressed their distate for the idea by invading the US and eventually burning Washington and scorching the White House.
Americans like to forget the started and lost the war of 1812, their 'victory' over the redcoats was after the peace had been signed. They also like to think they defeated The British Empire, but a European historian would remember 1812 for a very different war. While the US was causing a tiny irritation the British army was defeating Napoleon. At the end of the Napoleonic wars they were then free to go deal with someone else, so they subdued India and stole everything that wasn't tied down. They could have turned to the US instead... |

as in oh my god!!! how come.. is thaty a joke? Canada is not part of USA and will never be part of USA,you wanna know why?
the USA ,if that's the case, would be alleged of state intervention when in fact it's a very big NO NO... the Canada has the four basic elements to exist namely people, territory, sovereignty and government..thus, there is no way of making Canada part of USA... there would be no Canadian flag by then!! hehe.. |
