Well people in all other 49 states really want to come here very badly but they don't admit that, this state is a paradise, lots of sunshine and yes one hurricane here and there but that's not a big deal, I live in a real nice city near Ft. Lauderdale and I tell you it's great.

meanblacktiger
Hell no l was born there and lived there for a lot of my childhood and went back there every summer until l graduated from high school and I hate it and don't even claim it as my home state.

Florida has it's pros and cons just like any other state. My family has lived in 18 of the states and we have really enjoyed each of them. I wish you luck on finding out.

I LOVE FLORIDA THERE'S TONS OF THINGS TO DO ... YOU CAN GO TO THE BEACHES ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR... THE HURACANES SUCK, BUT YOU GET TIME OFF. I JUST LOVE IT.

Incredibility
No its hot and lots of HURRICANES

Leo D
Please don't move here....it's becoming too overpopulated!!!

I live in Orlando and I love it but it's growing soo fast, it's going to be another Miami..which is what I DON'T want.

And too many hispanics...not being racist but it would be ok if they would friggin speak ENGLISH!!!

White Flower
No arizona and Texas are the best states to live in!!!

dinodino
No. It's too hot and too flat.

yumyum
Only if you are over the age of 65.

citizenprice
As a native I can honestly say the best thing about Florida is the weather. The worst thing I can say about Florida is the weather.

makzury
nooooo is too hot, hurricanes destroy every thing, there is not a single hill, and well u can hear eaven more spanish than english.

The cost of living is very high in Florida unlike in a none coastal state Missouri or Oklahoma or some where like that.

florida's ok 2 live in.it's a lot better when ur visiting than living.

jenn
I LOVE texas!! We don't get hit by hurricanes like florida but we're still on the coast, and we're a lot closer to mexico, which you can buy medicine cheaper in mexico and there are lots of good vacation spots, plus I love my horses and dogs and don't think they would like florida much....they have to have their room to roam and lots of green grass, not palm trees

1. unpredictable weather, there is no such thing as a hurricane season

2. Everybody that likes to party hardy wants to come to south beach and hang out. This cause the over crowding

3. You must speak a second language , jobs are hard to come along if you speack only english.

4. This state is becomming one of the most expensive states to live in.

5. If you have children, the education system sucks, you almost have to sit in the class room with them to get some results.

6. The people are rude, and they are rude no matter how nice you are.

7. If you have a past criminal history, be prepared to always get interrogated no matter what happen. You will spend the night in jail until they can figure out that you r not the guy they are looking for. ooops may take more than one night. (black, white, purple, you will be discrimanated against, so don't worry color is not a problem

Other than these seven things, Welcome to the state of Florida, hope you enjoy our great state

If you don't like seasons, sure. I personally get kinda sick of summer all year round. Still, I'd wager that it's better than--I dunno..Alabama.

Florida is a nice place to live, however, it was a better place to live in the 70s and 80s. Too many people have moved to Florida, because it is a great place to live, and that has caused growth problems.

We have no state or city taxes, yet, which makes it an attractive place to live in addition to things to do. The government, though, cannot produce the infrastructure to support so many people for an extended amount of time without funding to pay for it.

My family came to Florida on both my mother and father's side in the early 1900s, my father's side to preach, my mother's side to avoid starvation in Georgia. My brother currently works for the rat, otherwise known as Mickey Mouse, but he isn't such a bad rat since he pays the bills.

I don't know that Florida is a better place to live than other states, because I haven't lived in other states.

I can say this: I love Florida because it is my home, and I don't like people to speak unkindly about Florida. Florida is the home of Kennedy Space Center, Walt Disney World, the Everglades, St Augustine, Key West, the University of Florida, Ybor City, South Beach, the TPC at Sawgrass/Ponte Vedra, Thomas Edison's winter home, the Zora Neale Hurston festival in Eatonville, Panama City Beach (among all the beautiful sugar sand panhandle beaches), not to mention many businesses which continue to attract more residents to the state.

Yes, there is a large population of older people, especially in South Florida. Wouldn't you want to retire where it's warm, and the taxes are few?

Despite what people think, Florida isn't the only state where there were errors in voting procedures.

Usually wherever you are at in Florida, you are within an hour's drive to a beach.

Florida is a great place to live.

i dont think so...there are probably a lot of weather problems...but if you like hot weather and humid and weather issues go for it!

Well it depends. Do you like hurricanes, humidity and bugs?

it depends what you're looking for. If you have a stable job, that pays somewhat well then FL can be a good choice. Florida has good schools and good living, but it isnt for everyone. Will you like the weather? You need a car, because although there is public transportation, you just can't walk places because everything is spaced out. The beaches are nice, but its not filled with fast spaced cities. Miami's nice for the night life, but if you're stuck in Ocala theres nothing there. If anything go for south fl. But if youre planning to move here, you should come check it out first.

missy_goob
I think it is a desired to live there in retirement .... but otherwise, why not enjoy one of the other 49 states .... specially the ones that have more varied seasons and various age groups.

Florida seems to be getting crowded...

If you are wealthy, then good state to live for tax breaks.

If you work in hospitality/hotel industry, then good place to live obviously.

It is hot and overpopulated and flat. But there are beaches. That also means a lot of tourists. It depends on what you like, but I prefer Pennsylvania more.

Me
Depends what area in Florida. I live in Miami, Florida and I hate it. Its sooo damn crowded in this place, it's soon to be a New York in a few yrs. And it rains alll summer long. And well the hurricanes!

No Florida is high risk for hurricanes and is extremely hot. There are lots of mosquitos among other bugs.

VOLLEYBALLY
I doubt it. Everyone migrates there and there is a lot of crime.
