Hawaii is far superior to Florida. Weather there is ideal most of the time. Maui is great, Kauai is beautiful, Oahu is "busy" and The Big Island is .... BIG!

HAWAII IS PARADISE! I lived in Oahu and I have never been to a more wonderful place. Florida can't compare. It is lovely! It will live up to all your expectations. Make sure to try some shaved ice, believe me it is not like any other you have ever tried!

Not comparable to Florida, is way hotter and way more humid, with no tradewinds!

hawaii is paradise. i've been there three times and never doubted coming there cause its so much fun. i got to travel all over the island, go to beaches, do a lil hiking and find main attractions around.
caribbean ius somewat like hawaii but hawaii has a rich culture and the ppl who live there r so nice!

A lot of places in both Hawaii and the Caribbean are very nice, but Paradise is what you make it out to be. Perhaps the responder you mentioned got his car broken into at one of the tourist traps (it happens a lot there), or was disappointed to not see a lava flow from the volcano just like he saw on National Geographic. It's still a beautiful place, and I'd visit if I had the chance.

It depends on the time of year you go and the island you go to. The high season will be full of tourist and find yourself competing to get a slot in the most popular attractions. The low season will prove to be more relaxing/fun (at least for me it is). I've been there 3 times and I go in the low tourist season - wouldnt want it any other way. I just found this cool website (source of my info) if you're still trying to make up your mind....good luck!

wow hawaii is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... i used to live there & i visit often it is incredible!!! just dont be expecting tiki straw huts.........lol. some people dont expect buildings or anything. it really depends where you are. in honolulu there are a lot of buildings in towns but it is so beautiful!!
