Is Hawaii the best state to live in?

I mean for quality of life?I know its expensive, but if you were rich would you live there? If not where would you live in the U.S.?

I live in Hawaii - and really have learned to love it. However, if I could have my same quality of life and job in the Huntington Beach, CA area, I probably would go there.

So, if Hawaii isn't the best state - it's the second best. Depends on your perspective.

There are plenty of folks here who wouldn't live ANYWHERE else.

kaRA
its actually not that expensive..... absolutley bra im from there and its gorgus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!11 sunny and warm with an amazing view everywhere

Hawaii SEO
If you were "Rich"... Hawaii would be the best place in the world to live.

(IMO) Many people who get "Island Fever" and return to the mainland make that choice because they are not "Rich" enough to afford First Class travel too and from the mainland, or pay for friends and family to come and visit.

I believe if they had the cash and time to travel in style, etc, as frequently as they wanted to... There would be few reasons to live on the mainland.

if i was rich, i would surely move to Hawaii but i like it here in california

blackbarbie92
I think it basically depends on how u look at it... may b if u like or luv islands and a paradise style, it's probably for u. if not, reconsider.
If I were rich I might live in North Carolina or near the mountains. Not Hawaii though. May b New York, but not New York, New York.

Not the best but up there. I lived there for about 1 1/2 and it was great at first but once you see everything and do everything your still stuck on an island, and its very expensive to live and fly out of. Visit for sure, but would never live there again.

If I was rich I would live in Denver, pretty expensive there as well but has a lot to offer as far as things to do, bar scene, outdoors, seasons, and close to other great places. Its a younger city as well alot of chicks and alot of fun. Two thumbs up!!

superspiker69
I have visited many times and find Hawaii to be wonderful but I doubt I would want to live there year round. I think I would become bored because there is nowhere to go except another island. Although they are all very different, there is a smaeness about them. If I were rich enough, I would definately have a part time residence there.

XOcutiepieox
Porbably not. It DOES have great beaches, an awesome climate and all, but it is verrrrryyyy ecpensive to live there beacause everything there, well almost everything, has to be shipped there. Plus, incase of a huricane, volcanic explosion, etc, the only way out is a 6 hour flight to LA or a boat.. YAY?

A friend of mine just returned home to northern california after living in Hawaii for five months. He said that he and hid girlfriend really got tired of it there. It seems so beautiful and relaxed but I can definately see it getting old after a while. Plus, the cost of living is outrageous and you'd have to deal with the effects of dense tourism all year around. No fun.

that is to what your opinion well yea tsunamis are a problem but look at colorado or alaska or find cozy states to live in

While Hawai'i is undoubtedly the most beautiful of places to live, many mainlanders who chose to move there, eventually move back, as they feel so very isolated geographically, and are often at least a day's travel to reach family.

If money were no object, I would live in Santa Barbara or Montecito.

alienorgy69
Sure there is great quality of life, but I think that would be comperable to places in arizona, california, and some areas in colorado and utah.

No it is not the best for anyone except Hawaii'ans. It is to isolated from the rest of the US. Kentucky is probably the best to live in the lower 48 state, living is cheaper, if you want to visit someone or go somewhere, everything east of the Mississippi River can be reached by car in a days drive or less from N.Y. to Florida, the whole East Coast.

California

have you ever been there? If you can handle the hatred ! No joke they hated everyone all races equally. Good luck with the native Hawaiians. Why did they name that Hawaiian base after my great grand father? Hmmm, maybe that's why I see that look in there eye! LOL! I love the coastal states
