Yes! By far!!! Kansas City is so much nicer and wayyy more things to do. And if I may add... I believe that St. Louis was in the TOP 10 for the most dangerous city to live. Parts of St. Louis are nice but the actual "st. louis, missouri" is more of gross area and gangs etc. As where the actual "kansas city, missouri" has its areas where it could use some help. But... these are great things "kansas city" has.
- Childrens Hospital that is rated in the top 5 in the nation
- Country Club Plaza
- Easy access airport (bigger than st. louis' and was just renovated)
- All the cities around the actual "kansas city" are all nice and well - maintained
- Soon - to - be renovated chiefs and royals stadiums.
- Has been rated one of the best places to raise a family (i don't think it was "kansas city, missouri exactly but it was the cities right around it... but here we just call everything kansas city, not leawood or lee's summit or overland park -- its all part of kansas city)

I lived in St. Louis for 6 months and hated it... well we lived in Chesterfield and it was nice but the actual "st. louis city" is not nearly as nice as Kansas City. I have lived in Kansas city for 7 years and don't plan on moving. Out of all the places I have lived in my 15 years of life (florida, ohio, st. louis and kansas city) Kansas city is by-far the best! My family agree's with me. We were going to move to South Carolina but we didn't want to leave Kansas City so we just have a beach house that we rent out down there.
Good Question!

Yes but I would still live in the surrounding area and work and play in the city. The metro area is hard to tell where it stops and starts but if you want to live in the city itself it would depend on your situation. If you are young and affluent the plaza area is great, more affordable is Westport, there are even some great lofts for sale and rent downtown The Brookside and waldo area are "artsy" City Market would be a fun place to live if you worked close and didn't have a car. If you have school age children I would go to Kansas City North not to be mistaken for North Kansas City which used to be a "working class" area but has gotten rough the Ruskin, south Kansas City area is fast becoming a ghetto filled with drugs and crime. Keep your kids out of the Kansas City Mo schools if you go North they will be in either the NKC schools or Gladstone both are better the KCMO the Center School District is not so great anymore. Hope this helped but now I have forgotten your question? Oh yes KC is the best town in the Midwest except Chicago is more fun!!!

st. louis more cleaner just my opion?

Kimo
I wouldn't say it's the best city in midwest, I prefer the suburbs of St Louis

Msz Nia [[BabiieThiiqknesz]]
I'd say the whole Kansas City area (KS & MO) is great! I love it here. Like someone else said, it's hard to tell where the metro starts and ends! In some parts it's very diverse and theres things to do everywhere.

St. Louis? Ohh no. How can the best city in the midwest be the most dangerous city in the NATION to live in?

nbr660
YES, Kansas City is best, StLouis is the armpit of Missouri.

St. Louis is not cleaner and is by far the worst city in the midwest. Kansas City is a different story, I have been there many times and is cleaner than St. Louis by far. So yes KC is the best city in the midwest.
