To correctly answer your question since I live KC, MO. Yes it is humid, but not as much in the fall. Today the heat index is 112 degrees! But it really depends on how the weather looks before you come. With the hole global warming there is no telling what it's gonna be like in October. If it's late october it will most likely be cool. If you come here in early October, we could very well be in the middle of Indian Summer. It can get hot and sticky then.
End of October (Halloween), we could have snow on the ground or be in the middle of one of our infamous ice storms. |

I have been to Kansas City once in March I was there it was not that humid, but I heard it is humid during the summertime. I imagine by fall it would not be quite as humid. |

Yes, it can be. I grew up in KC. As a kid, we just went to the pool or the local pond to cool off. As an adult, we go to the malls. Like any place else, when it's hot, limit your outdoor activities during the day. |
