yes it is. In fact a 500 dollar apartment in Atlanta will cost you about 1500.00 in New York City. Almost every road leading into the city is a TOLL ROAD OR TUNNEL. A 9.99 meal here at K.F.C. will cost you 14.99 there. Not to mention the sales tax that others have mentioned already.

New York is much more expensive due to the fact that there are just more people there than here in Atlanta.

Melissa

It is more expensive than Atlanta, but I honestly think parts of Connecticut are pricier, such as Greenwich.

Yeah, hon. It's a lot more expensive, for a lot less space. It just depends on whether it's worth it to you. Atlanta is considered the New York of the south by some, but it is still the south. That said, I'm about to move there, and I looked at places in both cities.

i just moved to GA from NY....do you mean new york city or new york state.... NY city is verry expencive!!! shopping is graet though if you go to china town....but all around NY nope... i lived in niagrafalls NY its just about the same or less....and if you live by a native american reservation they have really cheep gass and its tax free....and all items you buy its tax free!!!

Tori
Way more expensive. For a really, really tiny apartment it's like 500k.
Plus, typically (not in all cases, like California) the Northeast is more expensive than other parts of the country.

My Brother -in-law owns a one half of a duplex in Queens. It has 2 small bedrooms, two tiny bathrooms, a medium size living room and a tiny kitchen, It also includes a unfinished basement and a garage for one car and uncovered parking for a second car.

It is valued at over $1,500,000

Yes, it is expensiver than Atlanta. they have a Bad Grammar Tax that they levy on people...you better take a Mack Truck full of cash...or improve your grammar. Hope this helps, dude. You are a dude, right?
