Is Ohio a good place to live?

I live in Toledo and the dining is great here. The big problem right now for Ohio and Michigan (where I work) is the economy. We have a great zoo, we get (usually) all 4 seasons and there really is plenty to do here. I just wish the job market was better for other people. I have been blessed to have a good job and I am grateful for it. I have 3 friends (1 Marine Corps Vet, 1 Army Combat Vet, and 1 Air Force Combat Veteran) that are unable to find jobs! Even minimum wage jobs tell them they are "overqualified" for those positions. My Marine friend had to "dumb down" her resume (she has a degree as a paralegal and is going to law school) just to get a minimum wage job as a bartender!! So other than the job market (if you actually have a job, then it is alright here) it is pretty good. Especially Toledo...it is only about 45 minutes from Windsor and Detroit which also provide great and diverse entertainment and dining.

I was in Cleveland last weekend, and I thought it was an awesome town! I never lived there, but I hear great things about it!

YES! I'm from Ilinois, and moved here 5 years ago. I live close to cleveland but not in the city, ITS THE BOMB! Even after the great food in Chicago, this place is STILL AWESOME!

yes, i live here,,and it's a very nice place...u should move in Sandusky so u can go to Cedar point and all the water parks..sooo much fun!!

well, i visited a lot of places in ohio. i actually found a place in the mid-ohio valley, southern ohio to be very boring. but i think columbus, cincinnati might be fun.

I'm told Ohio is a very lame place to live by a few close friends and family members who have been there. If you're really looking to move there why don't you take a week or two vacation there first.
