WOW i really dont know what to say to this question and some of the answers. Yes Pittsburgh is in Western Pennsylvania. But it is not and i repeat NOT the state capital. This really shocks me that you people do not know that Harrisburg, PA is the state capital. Please read a book. |

When I was in school, that was the kind of thing you'd have to know to make it through third grade. What's more, we were taught to FIND OUR OWN INFORMATION instead of asking others to find it for us. Asking for help is one thing, but expecting others to hand you the answer was not, and is still not appropriate. Try looking at a map. |

There are Pittsburgs in other states, such as Pittsburg, Kansas, but the only Pittsburgh I know of is in PA, and the capital of PA is Harrisburg. |

Yes, it is on the west side of Pennsylvania. Back 30 years ago it was a coal city, dirt and smelly from what I here. It is not a nice place, clean street and air. |
