Their all fine schools.

Reputation-wise Texas A & M is best.

yep

You can get a good education at all three of the schools. Texas Southern does have some high profile issues in the news now. But, I'd put money on the fact that they will survive. It's a historically good school, and the board of regents is working diligently to fix the problems. Prairie View is good, and is less publicized, but has a good reputation.

Both schools are smaller and many people want that size campus. If you don't mind a huge campus and student population, then A&M might be worth considering. It's a top rated school with a reputation of excellance. The "mostly white" reputation is true, but it's changing and that's something that worth being a part of. Not all black students are athletes, so don't let people tell you that.

Of the three you listed, only one (Texas A&M) is a top 50 rated school by the Princeton Review.

In addition, it is the only one rated in the Princeton Review's Best Schools of the West.

A&M is probably the most accredited University. However, They are not going to let you in until you learn how to spell.

despite all of the negative stuff you will hear about tsu it is a good school. a lot of people who bad mouth the school have never set foot on it. i am currently a student at tsu getting my second degree from there. the issues with former president slade dont really affect the student body daily. its there but doesnt distract us from our studies. pvu is the same as tsu. texas a&m is perdominately white and expensive. they really wont cater to you unless your an athelete or smart. i know people who's experiences werent that good there. tsu and pvu are hbcu's but they are NOT bad schools. good luck on making your decision.

Texas Southern and Prairie view are predominately black schools and have smaller populations. Texas A&M is a predominately white school (unless you are an athlete) on a much larger and populated campus.

TSU is having some major changes going on right now because of their former President Ms. Slate

They are or were pretty close to losing their accrediation

Prairie View don't have anything major going on that I know of

Texas A&M is a good school and heard nothing but good things about them

Go with Texas A&M, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, or UT. You probably won't be able to get any scholarships because of the enormous populations at most Texas universities, but try submitting things anyway. Stephan F Austin gives some generous scholarships to those who are interested in particular fields. if you are looking into going into oil & gas, go with either Oklahoma or Texas A&M Main campus. Good luck!!

P.S. Also try texas tech. its in the middle of nowhere but a very very nice campus. a whole bunch of housing just opened up; i visited there in may 2007 and 2006. Strict but can be an enjoyable experience there.

Go to PVAMU, even though they suck ***! It depends on what you're interested in studying for. TSU has a couple of really good programs, but their administration sucks(always have, always will).

all three are great schools, it just depends on what you want to major in and which of the three will accept you

MKL
Try a GOOD school like Rice in Houston or Baylor in Waco.
