its a real nice place , unless you move to the western and small parts of the Northern part of texas... that area is very country
if you live anywhere in the northern, eastern ,and southern... ur ok
its not really bad at all trust me all that stereotypes of it just being like full of cowboys is a bunch of BS

chmar11
I liked it. I lived in Central Texas, between San Antonio and
Austin. Very nice. Not too humid, like down by the coast.

urtxmxgurl
really depends on where exactly ur going....i just moved to east Texas from south Texas I actually like it here but still too damn hot but its a nice place not to far off from the beach so thats a plus

Well, it is a HUGE state so there is a lot of differences. In El Paso you would ahve the desert, but in Houston you would have the beach. Where in TX? My friend grew up outside Dallas (Rowlett) and she liked it there!

transformationlmt
I guess it really depends on what part of Texas you are moving to. Where are you moving from? I moved to Houston, TX. from Upstate New York. I was miserable. Nothing but pavement, traffic, snobs and heat! I have a sister that lives in Austin and she loves it. All of Texas is not created equal. I now live in Southern Indiana and I couldn't be happier.

doodlesthemonkey
austin is, the rest....eh.

smoothopr_2
could you be more vague? from where to where,
boring yes, good to raise family, or start a business
hot from May till October , can get cold from cold fronts in winter, humid as hell on the Coast,(keeps skin young)
east is forest, west desert, lots of concrete, sprawl,
suburbs, no stat income tax, Lots of bubba trucks in rural areas, you will see alot of taco stands,
Big cities, Dallas , Houston, tourist San Antonio,Austin trendy

shorty a.m.
I just visited San Antonio and I really liked it. The cost of living was good and they had alot of stuff to do so I wouldn't really have to travel to far unless I really wanted to! Hope this helps
