Now it is... it has been the 50th state for 48 years.
Frankly, I can't get over the suspicion that the U.S. just outright stole it about 100 years ago...
But I have been there and I would say it feels very American now. Except that there are more Japanese people there than elsewhere in the U.S. |

Yes. Hawaii is the 50th state. It may not look like it, but it is just a little island off the southwest coast. That is way it was the last state because the government wasn't really sure but now they are, so yeah. |
