my gf is a yank and YES it is easy to wind them up. They are not used to sarcasm at all and dont know how to take it. if you want to wind a yank up pretend you have tourettes and keep shouting twin towers twin towers. good luck

its easy to wind up anyone if you have the right attitude, Yanks just have a different sense of humour to us English,

I mean Do you find American soaps are funny, I cant laugh at someone being corny. but the Yanks don't find the likes of Bruce Forsyth funny so there's the difference, well to me at least, but everyone to there own.

I doubt it's any easier than it would be to wind up anyone else. However, different cultures have different ways of expressing their wound-up-ness. It also depends on the person; some of us, myself included, are quick to anger. You may not even be trying to wind me up and I'll go off like a hair-trigger revolver.

Actually you Brits are easier..I lived in the UK for a year and went to a pub every night..The locals would always try to wind me up but invaraiably it was them who got excited..We would fight about everything including things like which country had the best trees. The older Brits weren't bad but the younger ones lost control easily. They would end up saying the most ridiculous things to try and get at me..But I enjoyed it
