Has it ever not been safe to travel here?? We are not fighting any wars on OUR soil....we don't have any kind of horrible dictatorship or any type of Gorilla organization. We're not a third world country....I think the US is perfectly safe to travel to..... |

No. We are full of great satans. Our country is running amok with robbers and killers. We are all swimming in a sea of inequities and vile behavior.
What makes you think it WOULDN'T be safe? |

Yeah, its safe to travel here, Just be prepared to be discriminated against if you are a young Arabic male. Its sad, but Americans are terrified of Arabic men right now. I was recently traveling from NY to Colorado and I sat next to an older man. We got to talking about world affairs, then he brought up terrorism. We talked for a while, and then he said " I had to report a guy to the police last week". "Really?" I said "why?"
"well, I was a blockbuster renting movies, when I saw This young guy come in with a turban on. I started watching him and I noticed that he was renting the movie Paradise Now, So I called the police and alerted them about him."
Paradise now is an award winning movie about palestinian suicide bombers (in case anyone doesnt know)
I thought that was so horrible of him. This guy is just trying to rent a movie that thousands of people have seen, but he gets reported to the police because he was wearing a turban. It is so sad that America has gone so far from the beliefs it was founded on. |

It all depends where you are going in the U.S.
New York is safe, parts of Washington and Detroit are not.

It was safe until the Omars of Islam started showing how stupid they are. Go home Omar. Worship your devil and leave the world to live with love and peace . |

Are you worried about terrorism or ordinary street crime? If it's terrorism, you have pretty good odds of not having a problem.
If it's crime, you will be fine, too, as long as you are smart about where you go. For example, don't go to seedy areas after dark, watch for suspicious characters, etc. etc. Actually, the violent crime rate in Canada and Europe is now higher than the United States. |
