NOPE - Michigan has a huge diverse population. Maybe most people under 15 or so, but thats probably true everywhere. I don't like them - I don't know anybody who likes them. |

No, not really. Michigan has a wider musical spectrum than most states. There is a huge hip hop (or rap) scene, a huge techno scene, and a fairly large metal scene. There is also an abundance of R&B, classical, and Islamic music. |

There is a great local music scene in Detroit, but since Jack White moved to Nashville he is no longer part of it. In fact, he said a few nasty things about the city's music scene in Rolling Stone on his way out of town in 2006 (this really made many fans upset). However, he has sense started to make emends and in June is playing two sold out show with The Raconteurs, which was formed in Detroit and features fellow Detroit native Brendan Benson. |
