You have a bunch of questions, and have gotten some good answers. Check out this site which answers everything for first time visitors: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/
The middle of July is almost as crowded as it gets. Early December is the best time to go. See this for an introduction to when to go to Walt Disney World: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/when-to-go/ ...and see this for best and worst times to visit Walt Disney World: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/when-to-go/next-best-dates/best-and-worst-times-to-visit/
This page ranks every ride and attraction at Walt Disney World based on how much they appeal to little ones, and how much they appeal to older kids and adults: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-first-family-trip/basic-itinerary/comprehensive-guide-to-rides/ The underlined rides on the thumbnail on the page are the biggest faves, and include all the biggest thrill rides!
Hope this helps--and have a great trip!! Dave |

o yeah ,july is not a good time to go. its VERY HUMID and SUPER crowded! ummm, june might be ok, if u go at the very beginning...b/c anything after would be super crowded b/c school's will be letting out...6 year olds camr pretty much ride anything there....they should be tall enough....ummm, i would stick to fantasyland in magic kingdom, lots of family oriented rides! their great for everybody! ummmm, for adults...Mount Everest (greatest ride EVER!!), Rockin' Rollercoaster, Space Mountain, Mission Space, Splash Mountain (good for kids too!), Tower of Terror....Disney World is a great place! its my favorite place in the WHOLE world! Oh! also, in magic kingdom, if ur daughters are into the whole make up things, and u can afford it, theres this cute little boutique for kids calle "Bippidi Boppidi Boutique" VERY cute! u can get a makeover to look like any disney character including hannah montana! Theres so much for ur daughters to do, i wouldnt worry about it to much! 6 years old is a great age to go! they will enjoy themselves! good luck and i hope u have a great time! |

June, July and August are the worst months to go to florida it is so hot and humid it is just miserable. Disney is busy year round but a little more so in the summer. The worst part is all the terrible smelling foreigners at disney. Get there at opening the first 2 hours is less busy than the rest of the day and cooler. The characters are at specific locations and varying times throughout the park The pictures are free because you have to use your camera and they just pose with your kids. 6 is the perfect age. IT is a theme park not an amusment park There are not any roller coasters in the traditional sense like 6 flags or cedar point. |

No, not really most people go there during fall or early winter. It is really hot and sicky in July and August in Florida. Been there done it. Just make sure you stay for a week. Disney is really big try going to there web-site and see what you think is best for your family. There is so much to do. |

Hi,
Check the links below for the crowd level and the weather.
Your 6 year old twins will have a blast. Do ALL of the Magic Kingdom, don't miss Soarin in Epcot, and of course all of the fireworks!
Have fun! |

The pictures...the characters just walk around the park and some others set up an area where there is shade...like a doorway or whatever..
If you do universal....you MUST do
IOA (Islands of Adventure) The kids will love it and on a humid day the few water rides help. They have a great water roller coaster in the Jarrassic Park section. That park has the hulk roalercoaser. The fastest and longest ride...it's like 4 minutes long.... most are 1 minute.
It is humid like crazy in july and crowded as heck....be prepared. Get good shoes to be standing in line. |

I would suggest waiting and going next may time, give your girls a chance to be a bit older. the weather is too hot and humid in july plus the storm season starts in july.
It is extremely crowded in Disney World any time of the year but especially from june to september as everyone is holidaying at this time.
I am heading out next week for two weeks and wouldnt reccommend going out any later than june for a holiday in florida |

Yes! I went to Disney last year in July and it is VERY HOT and crowded!
The best thing to do is, take a break during the day! Meaning, go to Magic Kingdom in the morning and part of the afternoon and by 2, go back to your hotel and take a shower or relax! Then by 5, go back to the same park or Epcot or something! This will help you to be more awake for the rest of the day into the night!
Ohh and for the girls, every ride is great in Magic Kingdom so you really dont have to worry about that! Epot, there arnt many rides, more attraction but DEF take them on the new Nemo ride! They will LOVE it!!
Ohh and for Hollywood Studios, I don't think they will enjoy all the rides there; more for adults but the attractions and just walking around seeing things are really coooool!
Ohh and do your girls love animals? Well they will love animal kingdom! they might not like the new rollercoaster there, but everything else, they will!!!
Ohh and plan how much money you want to spend each day, such as foood. Disney isnt cheap, so def plan!!
Disney is such an amazing trip (speaking from a 20 year old lol)!!
I'm attually going again this summer and I'm soooo excited!!
It's definitely my favorite trip!!
Hope this helps! If you have more questions, just email me!

****By July, it will be really unfomrortable out. We are already getting some 90 degree temps in the center of the state, with less humidity than in summer. Once July is here, the humifity will make it terrible out there.
Plan on drinking a lot of fluids, and see lots of indoor shows to cool off! |

I know of a couple of great informative websites that will help answers most, if not all of your questions about Disneyworld.
www.disboards.com and www.allears.net.
Also, I travelled to DW in July of '05 and it was very hot and pretty crowded..but we had a great time. I think very early June would be a better time as far as the two months go.
If you like coasters, Rock and Roller Coaster at the Disney studios is fun for adults.
Your girls will probably LOVE the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. |

You will get to ride maybe 2 rides all day. Maybe 4.
Lines can be 2 hours long at the very least for the top rides.
Heat and humidity will really add to the discomfort.
This was 30 years ago when I last went and there may be some improvements since then.
But, amusement parks never seem to vary much in this regard.
Contact Disney Worlds public relations department and see what they say.
They do have a couple of roller coasters. Space Mountain was one that was a ride in the dark . As I said though it has been some 30 years since I went and there have been changes since then. |

The entirety of June and the bulk of July is what Disney calls 'regular season'. It's not TOO crowded, but expect lines. However, the end of July ( anytime after the 20th ) to the end of September is their Value season. That means hotel rooms are cheaper because late July and August are very uncomfortable in Florida. Also, kids are starting school.
However remember that the parks being less crowded sometimes isn't a good thing. I've seen Walt Disney World when it was near desolate, and it's just not as fun without a decent amount of people there.
For the six year olds, anything at the Magic Kingdom would be ideal. At WaltDisneyWorld.com they have a toggle that you can do where you can see what rides are good for age groups and settings. They have children ( usually babies to around 7 or 8 ) big kids ( 9-12 ) Teens ( speaks for itself ) adventure, romance, and a few other genres that you can look and see what rides would go. You'd want to look up children's rides for your daughters, but adventurous rides for yourself. The link is below for the page - use the toggle on the right side of the page to change the experience.
The best roller coaster has been noted and recorded ( and advertised ) as being Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom. It's the guest-recorded number one thing to do at Walt Disney World.
Disney has a perk called photopass that helps parents out when it comes to character pictures. A lot of the time, when you see a character, there'll be a photographer already there with them ( but sometimes there isn't ). The photographer can snap pictures for you, and they scan them all onto a photopass card. You can take the photopass card to any photopass location ( very obvious, but every cast member knows where they are if you don't ) and see what your pictures look like, or you can view them online at disneyphotopass.com. The picture prices are pretty steep though. I personally think it's a nice perk, but hardly used by myself personally.
It's good to have your OWN camera though. For instance, you said you wanted to meet Piglet. Piglet is only in one spot, and that's Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom. It's a character dining location, and there's no photopass photographers anywhere around that area. Sometimes Piglet is at the Boat Dock at Disney's Animal Kingdom, but I'm not sure there's a photopass person there, either. Having a photopass person really depends on the popularity of the character and the location itself.
Photopass also has a quota of how many pictures they take. They HAVE to take a certain amount of pictures in a day, and they have to take the pictures pretty fast to keep the lines moving, so a lot of time photopass pictures aren't very good. Lots of action shots.
Below I've given you a link to Disney's Photopass website, which has all the information you'll need about photopass.
I also gave you a link that Disney makes, an overview helping someone who's first time it is visiting Disney.
Good luck! |

Take your children somewhere cultured and naturally beautiful. Walt Disney loves all children as long as their parents have money. If you didn't have any resources to throw in his direction, you wouldn't be welcome at Mickey's capitalist playground. |
