I don't think that it is particularly dangerous, but I certainly would not recommend that two 13 year olds wander around downtown by themselves. Especially two 13 year olds who are not familiar with the city. I also don't think that 13 is an age of maturity. That would be 18. |

Its safe during the day but at night I wouldn't walk around.. Too many bums and crackheads running around.. There isnt much night clubs for 13 year olds around there.. Its usually 18 and up at a couple places but most are 21 plus. |

Seattle is safe, but I would suggest that 13 yr olds go running around downtown seattle by themselves. I live in Seattle, and they don't have much for "kids" to do by themselves. You could ask you parents if they could drop you off in the Seattle Center, where the space needle is and everything is there that you could do in walking distance. Also how you enjoy it depends on what time of year you are going. Like there are lots of festivals at the end of summer like the Puyallup and Bumbershoot fairs. |

If you stay in the tourist/shopping area, you would be fine to go off by yourselves for a few hours.
Absolutely not at night - and certainly not to a dance club (even if it is all ages). Maybe that's just my concerned parenting, but I don't think two thirteen year olds should go walking around by themselves after dark ANYWHERE! :) |

I have been in Seattle since 1989.
If you were my kids I would feel better if you initially restricted yourself to the ride free area
http://transit.metrokc.gov/tops/bus/area_maps/m_seattle-rfa.html
Seattle busses are FREE from 6 in the morning til 7 in the evening.
just get on and off
If it is weekend and you going to bus it somewhere get all day pass for $2.50....
unlimited riding all day.
IF NICE DAY
Take route #56....southbound on 1st....to ALKI BEACH...that is good place. Food, views, people.
and coffee of course
Westlake Mall good place to walk around.
Pike Place Market too crowded for my liking.
See the Fish Guys act .....right by big bronze pig.
can't comment on club scene. |

Seattle is very safe and its Baby Day Care compared to Compton or NYC. Its a very clean city with allot of tourist walking around and hardly any crime. |

It is not safe at night and you should stay out of Clubs.
I am not kidding - people have been murdered in Pioneer Square area and the Police have closed down some of the hooligan places. |

Stay out of King Street Station, the international district, Beacon Hill, Queen Anne Hill, and Volunteer Park. |

i hope your not serious with this question. so what you asking is if one place is safe? haaaa look the entire world isnt safe. no wait let me change my answer the safest place ive been to was amsterdam. haaaa because everyone was to high to do anything illegal. i didnt see no shootings, no muggings, nothing illegal. in fact the police were laid back to. every place in america is dangerous. your not even safe in Washington D.C. haaaa and thats where the president is. you would think it would be the opposite. |

Well... seattle, it's pretty safe. I mean there's TONS of people there with you and its not like a little homeless guy is going to capture JUST you guys.
In my opinion, its pretty safe, if you have cellphones. Just don't go to the alleys at night.
And about the night club, I forgot the name of it but its close to Downtown |

About as safe as Compton, NYC, or any other crime-filled city.
In a word, no (unless you make a habit of wearing kevlar). |
