You could move to the city I live in and be 30 minutes from the nearest Wally World. But, I CAN walk to my local IGA, which is only about six blocks from where I live. Sorry. It's worse if I want to go to a Red Lobster...which is 70 miles away! You just learn to do without it, or suck it up and just do it. <*)))><

Takes me about 2 min. to get to a store if I get in my car.. If I tried to walk I would be risking life and limb to cross traffic.

It takes about 15 minutes to walk from here but by the time I've bought everything I don't want to carry it back, it's all up hill and it only takes a couple of mintutes to drive.

livinghaunted
it's a 15 min walk, and sometimes with traffic in a tourist town it's the same just to drive there...LOL.

It would take me like 2 min to drive to Wal-Mart or United. But I shop on post so it takes me like 15 min to get there.

For Me, the closest grocery store is about 4 miles away for Brookshire Borthers, even though the grocery store I shop at is about 10-15 miles in Tomball to HEB.
So Walking is out of the question even go to the Brookshire Brothers.

Our city clumps apartments, shopping, gas stations, etc. all together and then all the housing areas are just houses. Since we live in an apt., we're just fown the street from anything we need.

where i live it is about 1/2 a mile. i wouldn't walk though considering we have ridiculous amounts of groceries. depending on where you live, stores like albertsons.com will deliver your groceries to your house.
