Yes, I first saw the Grand Canyon 26 years ago when my husband and I drove IN to CA right after our wedding. We did not have reservations, but lucked out and got a cabin right on the rim. (we were relocating IN to CA) Many years later we took our boys and camped during spring break and woke up to snow on the ground... still had fun. Then I have hiked to Havasu falls which is at one end of the Canyon. |

Absolutely! But take your time there.... see it from different vantage points at different times of the day. Hike at least part way down. We've traveled all over the world and seen some great sights, the Grand Canyon is awesome.
Happy travels!

Yes, it is. I just came back. While we were out there, we visited Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park, too. They are all different and each has it's own amazing beauty! |

If you fly over it in a comercial jet on a clear day you can see how big and glorious it really is. Up close it is just a gully with a crick in the bottom unlike a wash across the road. |

Liked it but the north side is quieter- loved Zion in Southern Utah much more! Ps- the antique train ride was fun. Stay at the Red Garter hotel in the town you ride from..... |

If you go looking for the spiritual and awesomeness of the place it is definitely worth it. The geologic phenomena is awesome in itself. Every time I have gone (I have been many times) to the GC, I have discovered new things, wildlife, geology, culture, and most importantly self realization. The ability for your mind and your soul to recharge in a place that is awe inspiring is valuable to your mind and your body/health. Think of the best place you have been that made you feel refreshed. The GC is one of those for me. If you are at all an outdoors person, this is the place to go. It is a must see at least once in everyones lifetime. |

The most amazing natural site you will ever see, speaking as someone from UK while driving the nearly 3000 miles of Route 66 included a detour to view the Grand Canyon
Sensational |
