Is there a need for family vacations?

I believe there is a need for families to vacation together. As the kids get older, it is often helpful to let them have more input into vacation destinations, even if it is things that the parents may find BORING. This will allow the kids to feel as if they are a valuable part of the process and that their opinion matters.

I think so. It is a way for families to relax and grow closer. It is a way for parents to help educate their children of different cultures. It is a way to make wonderful memories that will last for ever. It's a way to spend time together without worrying about work, school, bills, problems, etc. I think that it is a great way for families to spend time together.

But, it also depends on the family. If you really can't afford to go on vacation, than it may be a good idea to avoid. It may cause more problems and heacaches than it is worth. It also depends on how well families get a long. I took some friends and their family on vacation not too long ago and all they did was fight the whole time. They normally don't do that, but the vacation seemed to agitate them.

So it really depends on each persons situation.

For my family, it has always been a big part of our relationship. We travel together all the time so that we can have fun together and enjoy ourselves. There are many benefits to travelling and this is just one of them.

yes! some of my best memories are from family vacations. i can't tell you how much i appreicated the experience.

yeah it energizes you, heals you from tension and pressure, ill feelings, it even makes members of the family closer make them communicate and enjoy each other.

I believe there is. It gives a family some alone time together to get away from the excitement of real life. Its really just a time to relax and not worry about anything. Vacations don't have to be expensive or do you have to go far. You don't even have to stay long. Just take a few days off to spend together.

Family vacations last forever in memories. We went to my parents for Easter and talked about some of the fun trips we went on while I was growing up. My kids bring up funny adventures from out trips. But a business trip, also known as the vacation away from the family is also therapeutic.
