Is there snow in US in late November? If so, where can we find it? Thanks.?

We live in the south and our little girl wants to go somewhere so she can make snow angels. Any suggestions for the end of November this year would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

The mountains are the best place to find snow. There should be plenty of snow in Colorado in the Rocky Mountains by late November. There are ski resorts near Denver.

New England - especially Maine or Vermont

It's early November so.. we can't really tell you. Well I can guess a place how about Alaska. She'll have more snow than she knows what to do with!

Me, I'd fly into Reno [RNO ] and stay somewhere around Lake Tahoe. If you go south from Tahoe along US 395 towards the Mammoth Mountain ski area ,you will definitely find snow-very possibly in huge quantities.
The Eastern Slope of the Sierra Nevada's are justly famous for the copious amounts of snow that they receive annually
Btw .Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places in America,

Upper Mid-West has snow now sometimes.

Sometimes Vermont has snow in late November. A few years ago we got maybe a little less than a foot on Thanksgiving.

replexgirl
Maine will definately have it. I live in Ohio and we will have it to probably (if mother nature see's fit)

I live in northern michigan. we've already had mild snow flurries but nothing will really stick until thanksgiving (if we're lucky) its been known to snow as early as halloween... or as late as christmas eve.
good luck!

In late November try West Virginia. Almost every year, around Thanksgiving, it snows somewhere.

It depends on the year. Some are warmer than others. The snow is normally found on the ground, on trees, and on rooftops. :)

Seriously, though, places like northwest PA/western NY (Rochester/Buffalo) get snow when other places don't and get hit hard when other places do. I think most of the Great Lakes states/regions are similarly affected. Also mountainous regions like the Poconos.

wisconsin. should be flurries there this afternoon. i lived there and now i live in the south. i miss the snow like crazy. dont forget to dress warm. have fun.

New York, Pennsylvania. Michigan too if you can handle the cold. Basically anything north of DC (we don't get it till December or January).

I'd suggest Michigan.

Fly to a ski resort in the mountains of Northern New England, Montana, Utah, etc. Maybe call them first to find exactly when the snow season opens. How about Rocky Mountain National Park? Its a beautiful drive over the mountains and you will definitely see snow there.

most parts up north have snow ,have fun .

littlewhitefish
It really depends on the weather.. Minnesota can get snow like, now, or not much until later. And we can get snow, and then have it melt and not have any for a little while.
