There is so much to do in Orlando. If you are wanting waterparks, they are all over, Disney has some really great ones. Downtown Disney and Universal City Walk is also great. There is putt-putt and regular golf all over. There is some delicious dining in Orlando, as well as in Disney and Universal.

I also enjoy doing things like Wonderworks, Hard Rock Vault, Ripleys, etc. Gatorland, Kennedy Space Center, Cypress Gardens are all near by. Sea World is in the area and is a lot of fun. Nothing like Disney and Universal.

There is a lot a lot of shopping. You can find souveneir shops, discounted favorty outlets, high end shopping. You could probably spend a week just shopping. There is also other little attractions like arcades, go-carts, etc.

There is so much to do that you won't know where to begin once you start. I think that you should ask your parents for this trip to spend some more time outside of Disney. Ask them to rent a car for your stay and go outside of the area. Explore the areas around Florida other than just Orlando, or the things in Orlando other than Disney.

Hope this helps!

Beaches!

You can try Sea World (tons of fun) or Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum. There's also Cape Canavaral. You are only a couple of hours from the beach too.

The Keys, Key West and Key Largo are among my favorites.
Beaches are great, but other than that I don't know what else there is to do!
Everglades maybe?

Miami was the best, South Beach very hip. Calle Ocho for a taste of Cuban food, Coconut Grove for people watching. Catch the Jitney Bus.

Do some searches on:

Devil's Millhopper near Gainesville
Ravine Gardens near Palatka
tubing the Itchetucknee near High Springs
kayacking and canoeing, especially the estuaries on the west coast or in the rolling hills near Tallahassee
glass bottom boats at Silver Springs near Ocala
wild bison herd at Payne's Prarie, near Micanopy
Busch Gardens near Tampa (yeah, it's a theme park, but VERY different from the Disney type park)
Glass bottom boat and snorkeling from John Pennekamp in the Keys. Dolphin Encounter too.
Dayhiking in the Ocala National Forest
Beautiful beaches in Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral, or anywhere from Flager Beach north on the east coast.
Florida cow-men (NOT cow-BOYS) in action at Kissimee Lake state park.
Mermaids (that is, ladies in mermaid suits) at Weeki Wachi.
Polo in Palm Beach County.
Morikami Japanese Gardens and Culture Center near Boca Raton.
Kennedy Space Center near Titusville.

Especially, get off the freeway/turnpike, and take some scenic roads. Get one of those state road atlases that shows all the county roads and enjoy!

Unfortunately for you, most of our events and festivals take place during the winter months, when the weather is cooler and dryer.

definitely not the most beautiful beaches in the country -- but if you're near Miami, the bodies on the beaches may be beautiful to look at... :)

The beaches are beautiful!!! and they have a lot of good restaurants. Go to Miami and when you get older check out the clubs.

South beach, miami. I am young and i DID have a blast. Or the everglades. If you are goin to Miami, stay at the Clay Hostel on Espanola Way. Its super cheap, and a 5 minute walk from the nearest beach. Oh , also google "the venitian Pool in florida"... its definately worth a visit. have fun!!

try the Keys, past that, just more and more beaches, bugs, and humidity

You can always go to the beach! Daytona Beach is a fantastic place, I like it more than Orlando! And st. Augustine is an incredible experience! You can go into an old Spanish fort, visit the oldest school-house in America and other cool things! It may seem like a boring school trip, but it is actually really fun! Make sure you check out Florida's great lighthouse in St. Augustine if you go!
