It's definitely worth your money! The only thing I'd be careful of is time management, since the park is likely to be very crowded on New Year's. And be prepared with a map and comfortable shoes. |

WDW is most definitely worth the money. It's the most expensive of any of the places in Orlando but Disney makes it worth it. :) Have fun! |

Yes, and in fact, going to Disney World for a vacation is actually a lot cheaper and affordable compared to many many other vacations. There is so much to do whether you enjoy the theme parks, dining out, dancing, shows, fireworks, comedy, art, ....so so so so much! It's worth it. |

It is a lot of money, but it's definitely worth going at least once. I love Disney World and when I have gone in the past, I really plan out how much money do I want to spend not only for the Park Hopper tickets but resort too. Also, I plan out how much money I want to spend each day! |

If you compare the cost of Disney to other entertainment options it isn't bad at all. For instance, it'll cost you $80 (on average) for a ticket to an NFL game. The average round of golf is about $40. Or how about just an evening out at the movies? I know our family usually drops about $10-15 per person at the movies.
Depending on how many days you go to Disney, tickets can be as low as $20.00 per day. And I'll promise you that you cannot do everything there is to do or see everything there is to see even if you stay for several weeks. |

Their prices are outrageous. They just doubled the prices of their strollers and their reasoning was because the prices had not been raised in three years. Please... they are just strollers. But then again, you can get a package deal at one of their resorts, not have to drive, pay cheaply for good food on the dining plan and get a park hopper ticket that gets you into any of the four parks throughout the day. You can't beat that.
People will pay the money no matter what the cost. I went in November when it was really hot and on the last day, it was in the low 60's. I saw so many people buying gray sweatshirts for almost $40 to have something warm to wear. To me, that is too much to pay for a sweatshirt but there are always going to be those who will pay.
Disney is always quality. Their shows, shops, restaurants, rides are always top notch. You are paying for the Disney experience. Some people like to get sucked into that (like my family) and someone would rather travel elsewhere. You should go at least once in your lifetime though! |

Yes it is. However, it's cheaper depending what time of year you go, you get more for your money if you go when the parks are emptier. During New Years it will be at top attendance. Try going in September. |

Disney World is definitely worth the money. The people that say it isn't have likely never been there and are reciting things they have heard others say.
I am 28 and going again May '09. There is something for everyone at Disney World. The Magic Kingdom is filled with the "traditional" themed rides. You have Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain and the Haunted Mansion. None of the other parks are as "Disney" as the Magic Kingdom. Epcot futures more on the world. There are areas that are little scientific demonstrations called Innoventions. You can play and learn at the same time. At the other end of Epcot is the World Showcase. This is the home of countries from around the world. The workers in these countries are native to that country, which help to make everything that much more authentic. Hollywood Studios is based on the movies. You get to experience how things are done behind the scenes, as well as see tributes to "classic" films. Last is Animal Kingdom. I personally don't think this park is worth it at all, however many others swear by it. To me it is a glorified zoo, minus the animals. (We've been there 2x and saw 0 animals on the safari ride, both times).
You'll have a good time, especially if this is your first time going there. And if for some reason you don't like it, then you know for the future that you didn't enjoy it and you'll never have to go again. |

If you feel good about paying a large corporation for the opportunity to stand in a single-file line for most of the day... yes, it's worth the money.
And don't forget the $12 cheeseburgers. They're almost as good as the McDonald's dollar menu.
Good luck. |
